A Quiet Day Capped a 30-Day Slide
The day that set the low was small. On 23 October, ETH was down about 0.1%.
Trading volume, the total value bought and sold, was light that day. On Binance it came to $517 million on 23 October. That was about 20% below its 20-day average.
The weeks before were weaker. Last week ended at $2,410, the lowest weekly finish since the week of 10 August.
The price is about 52% below its highest on Binance, $4,957. That high was set on 24 August 2025. The gap shows how much of the past rise has been given back.
ETH fell harder than Bitcoin in the 22 October crypto sell-off, CryptoTicker reported. The outlet tied that sell-off to pressure from outside crypto. It pointed to a 2.1% Nasdaq drop and Brent crude at a five-month high.
The $2,358 Floor Has Turned ETH 11 Times
The level in ETH's path is the $2,358 floor, right at the price now. The price is testing it as the session opens.
It has turned the price 11 times since late October 2024.
It last did so on 15 September.
ETH Between Its $2,358 Floor and $2,444 Ceiling
A ceiling is a price where rises have stopped before. ETH's nearest one sits at $2,444, about 3% above.
A daily close is the last price of the day.
A daily close above $2,444 would leave $2,572 as the next ceiling. That level sits about 8% above the price.
A daily close below $2,358 would leave $2,220 as the next floor. That level sits about 7% below the price.

The price sits right on its $2,358 floor. Source: Binance ETH/USDT daily prices, to the 23 October daily close, computed by www.altcoinbuzz.io.
Until ETH ends a day above $2,444 or below $2,358, it stays between its nearest ceiling and floor.
