Fomo surpasses Pump.fun in daily revenue on Solana

Fomo generated more daily revenue than Pump.fun on Friday, highlighting growing competition among Solana-based platforms competing for traders and memecoin activity.

According to DefiLlama data, Fomo generated $1.76 million in daily revenue, compared with $1.1 million for Pump.fun. The one day lead puts Fomo ahead by roughly 60%, although Pump.fun remains significantly larger over longer periods.

Fomo takes the daily revenue lead

Fomo's $1.76 million in revenue on Friday marked a notable milestone for the social trading platform. Pump.fun, one of Solana's best known memecoin launchpads, generated approximately $1.1 million over the same period.

The short-term reversal does not yet represent a broader shift in revenue leadership.

Over the past 30 days, Pump.fun generated more than $57 million, while Fomo recorded approximately $17.6 million. Pump.fun therefore remains well ahead when measured over a longer period.

The difference shows how quickly daily activity can change across Solana's trading ecosystem, particularly as traders move between memecoin launches, social trading platforms and other speculative markets.

Fomo combines trading with social features

Fomo differentiates itself from traditional trading platforms by combining cryptocurrency trading with social features.

Users can view other traders' activity and use those trades as part of their own discovery process. The model is designed to make cryptocurrency trading more similar to a social media experience, where users can follow activity and discover assets through other participants.

The platform has also attracted significant investment. In June, Fomo closed a $75 million Series B funding round led by Index Ventures, giving the company a valuation of $550 million.

Fomo said more than 68,000 users had made their first cryptocurrency purchase through Apple Pay on the platform, generating approximately $25 million in transaction volume.

The company has also expanded beyond spot cryptocurrency trading.

Fomo expands into perpetual futures

In June, Fomo launched perpetual futures powered by Hyperliquid for users outside the United States.

The expansion gives the platform another source of trading activity beyond spot markets and puts it into competition for users seeking leveraged cryptocurrency products.

Fomo has also used referrals as part of its growth strategy. The company said it had paid users more than $2 million in referral fees as of June 2.

These products and incentives could help Fomo build a broader trading ecosystem rather than relying exclusively on the speculative activity surrounding newly launched tokens.

Pump.fun still dominates over 30 days

Despite losing the daily revenue race on Friday, Pump.fun remains the larger platform by recent cumulative revenue.

Its more than $57 million in revenue over 30 days is over three times Fomo's $17.6 million. The figures also show why a single day's revenue should not be treated as evidence that Fomo has overtaken Pump.fun.

Instead, Friday's numbers point to the increasingly competitive nature of Solana's trading market.

Fomo's ability to generate $1.76 million in a single day suggests that social trading can capture substantial activity when market participation increases. Pump.fun, meanwhile, continues to benefit from its established position as a major memecoin launchpad.

The key question will be whether Fomo can sustain its recent activity over the coming weeks. If its daily revenue remains elevated, the platform could gradually close the gap with Pump.fun. For now, however, Pump.fun remains the clear leader over the 30-day period, while Fomo has demonstrated that it can compete for significant daily trading activity.
