Hedera (HBAR): 3 New Reasons It Could Soar in 2025

89% in only 30 days. Well, it must be a meme, right? Or something that got a new listing or approval to bring so much new money in, right?

Nope. It’s Hedera Hashgraph. A top 20 token. How did this happen? And more importantly, can it continue? Today, we cover three major reasons why Hedera outperformed the market and why we believe this is only the beginning of a significant run for $HBAR.

Reason #1 – Hedera Adoption

For any coin to perform well, its adoption plays a very important role. Adoption of Hedera Hashgraph is coming in a few different ways and through different products and communities.

Stablecoins

First, let’s look at Stablecoin growth. This is a big one. All of you know how important stablecoins are already. And they only become MORE important after the passing of the Genius Act in the US. Yet stablecoin growth was happening on Hedera even before that. Before the law was passed, most of this huge 146% month-over-month growth was already happening. And the growth continues with another 14% in the last week since the Act passed. There’s now $212 million in native USDC on Hedera. And growing, according to DeFillama.

Hedera is now #22 in stablecoin market value, but rising fast. There’s lots of room for growth here and in the resulting DeFi or RWA, where Hedera expects you to use your USDC. Then there is the Stablecoin Studio. This is a key piece to Hedera’s growth plan. Now that the Genius Act is law, banks and institutions are looking for easy ways to issue a compliant stablecoin. And guess what Stablecoin Studio does? Exactly that.

With added features besides compliance, including:

• Proof of reserves and treasury management.
• Easy admin, including custom token minting and burning plans.
• Incredibly low fees at fractions of a cent.
• Thousands of transactions per second speed and settlement, thanks to the unique hashgraph design.

Reason #2 HBAR Retail Access

More people have access to the $HBAR token and Hedera than ever before. Only a few days ago, $HBAR got its listing on RobinHood, one of the favorite stock and crypto trading apps for American users.

In that time, the market has been down slightly, but $HBAR is up from 24c to 27c. A further sign that retail wants more $HBAR. Even Mr Wonderful Kevin O’Leary believes in how big Hedera will get.

Reason #3 – HBAR Institutional Interest

Earlier this month, Hedera did one of the first tokenized Forex trades we’ve seen in the market. Aberdeen Investments and Lloyd’s Bank used tokenized GBP as collateral for a forex trade on HBAR. It’s the first time in the UK that this has been done. This will open the door to many trades of high volume all on Hedera.

Meanwhile, there are many ETF applications in the works. We expect some of them to get approvals. So this idea you see here of 90% chance of approval in 2025 is something we believe too. Despite it being from a rabid $HBAR bull, of which there are many, on X. Canary and Grayscale have their applications in already. Decisions are likely sometime in Q4. It’s something we are watching closely.

In just the last 2 weeks, the first staking ETF was launched in Switzerland. It allows the investors to gain the staking rewards as well as the appreciation from price increases in $HBAR.

$HBAR Token Performance

Although we all know that past performance is not an indicator of future results, there’s one other truth in crypto. Tokens that are part of the narrative and have momentum do better than projects that aren’t and don’t.

And the $HBAR token is full of positive momentum. It’s up 89% in just the last 30 days alone. And that’s not all. It’s up even more, at 305% in the last 12 months. The gains have been long and continuous. Hedera is well-positioned for stablecoin issuance, RWA platforms, and AI. And these are more or less the 3 hottest sectors in the industry. Remember the Stablecoin Studio from earlier?

There’s an asset tokenization studio, too. And all the same benefits apply, including the all-important compliance. It even supports US Reg D for lower paperwork issuance requirements.
