If you buy 1000 XRP coins today, how much will it be worth in 2026? That’s a good question, and we take a closer look at this.
However, ever since, XRP rallied hard. Now something new came up that flipped my perspective even more. Per CoinGecko, XRP is up, 122,000% since its ATL in 2014. That’s after a decade of building and doing wild things. So, if you buy 1,000 $XRP today, it will set you back around $3,000. But what can it be worth next year?

ToggleThere’s always a lot happening around Ripple and XRP. Let’s take a closer look at some of its recent news.
One of the biggest news stories surrounding XRP and Ripple is the end of the SEC lawsuit. This started in December 2020 and lasted until July this year. Both Ripple and the SEC expressed interest in dropping their appeals. This would end the 5-year-long legal drama.
However, there was still a surprising twist. Ripple still needs to pay $125 million. Judge Torres denied their request to lower this to $50 million. Still, that shouldn’t be a problem, Ripple can sell some of their 40 billion XRP that it still governs. That should easily cover this sum.
It’s also not the first time that Ripple gets blasted for dumping on its community. In a recent move, co-founder Chris Larsen finds himself in an unwanted spotlight. It seems that he dumped for $200 million worth of XRP during this month.
Ripple also applied for a US National Bank Charter with the OCC. That’s the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. If approved, Ripple will have regulation like banks do on both Federal and State level. But there’s more.
Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, mentioned that Ripple applied for a Fed Master account. This gives Ripple full banking privileges. It will have direct access to the Federal Reserve. No more need for a proxy or a bank. Ripple will be the bank. If approved, this is even bigger than being granted an OCC charter.
Most importantly, this allows Ripple to issue stablecoins. This is how the Genius Act defines it. Now, this would give an immense boost to their $RLUSD stablecoin. Since, in all honesty, that’s not doing too great and needs a boost. Well, here it is, with this US National Bank Charter application.
Currently, 83% of $RLUSD operates on Ethereum. The other 17% is on the XRP Ledger. So, that’s not a good balance. $RLUSD also only has a $577 million market cap. It ranks only 15th measured by market cap. It only has 497 active addresses using it. However, approval of this application will strengthen RLUSD’s regulatory position.
In this sector, XRP is faring really well. There are currently 11 XRP ETFs that have been filed with the SEC. This has some big names among it. Like, Bitwise, 21Shares, Franklin Templeton, and Grayscale. There was some confusion when the Bitwise Crypto ETF that includes XRP was halted, but it looks like things are moving forward again.

Furthermore, there was also speculation that BlackRock might join this race. Many consider Nate Geraci to be an expert in the ETF field.
In a most recent development, Ripple secured a US patent. This patent covers trust-based, instant cross-border payments. This positions XRP as an alternative for SWIFT. That’s because it offers faster cross border transactions.
So, this shows that there’s plenty of action going on in the Ripple camp. If everything falls in place, this should also have a serious impact on the $XRP price. So, let’s take a closer look at that.
When you want to buy 1,000 XRP today, keep in mind that the $XRP price keeps growing. It was only 10 days ago that it hit a new ATH of $3.65. The current $XRP price is $3.28. Slowly, $XRP is outgrowing the ‘cheap’ coin factor.
Getting your hands on 1000 XRP today will set you back $3,280. The immediate expectation is that the $XRP price will keep moving up. So, 1,000 XRP will only become more expensive in the short term. It’s only 9 months ago that you were looking at ‘only’ $500 for 1,000 XRP.
But this begs the question, how much will these 1,000 XRP be worth in 2026? Let’s take a look.
So, where will 1,000 XRP head in 2026? There are various price predictions floating around. So, let’s take a closer look at these and also what I see as realistic. Gotta be cautious here. In their enthusiasm, the XRP Army can sometimes go a bit overboard with their predictions. We also need to consider the current market cap of XRP, which already clocks in at $194 billion. So, how much room is there to wiggle?
So, a realistic scenario is $5 for early 2026. 1000 XRP will be worth $5,000.
However, there’s also lots of talk about the $7-$10 price range. So, for convenience’s sake, let’s take $10. That will make 1000 XRP a good $10,000. That’s still possible, although it looks like you start to stretch it now.
Here’s a $26.60 target. That will make 1000 XRP worth $26,600 in early 2026. Is that still realistic or not? Let me know in the comments.

But let’s move on, there’s more where this came from. Here’s a $700 prediction. I’m sure that the XRP Army will like this one, but this doesn’t look realistic to me.
However, it gets better. Now from a slightly more reputable source. Jake Claver, CEO of Digital Ascension Group, throws $1,500 to $2,000 in the open. That would make $XRP worth $2 million for 1000 XRP. However, what kind of market cap will we have, and where does that leave Bitcoin? A lot needs to happen before this becomes reality. It looks like hell will freeze over first.
