Is Hedera (HBAR) Going to $1? Next 10x Altcoin?

Tariffs dominate the headlines with whether Trump will do it or not. Meanwhile, Hedera Hashgraph quietly secured three game-changing deals that could send HBAR to $1.  Governments are hungry for real trillion-dollar CBDCs.

And Hedera is moving billions of real-world assets on-chain. We found the hidden catalyst right in broad daylight of what will push Hedera and $HBAR ahead for at least the rest of this year. Can $HBAR do a 4x and get to $1? Let’s find out.

Brief Review of Hedera Hashgraph

We have been covering Hedera a good bit recently. So I won’t rehash (pun intended) the basics of the project. But it does have 2 important differences from most projects we cover. Those 2 things are:

1. Hashgraph, not blockchain.
2. Permissioned Network.

As a hashgraph, Hedera takes consensus based on what everyone is saying rather than a PoS or PoW model. It works because there are strong disincentives for spreading a lie as if playing the telephone game as a kid. Hashgraphs, by their design, can confirm many transactions at the same time. This gives them a scaling edge over blockchains.

And as a permissioned network, it’s what we’d call semi-private. All the validators are big, huge tech companies like Google and Dell. You have to ask and get permission to run a validator. We normally don’t favor projects that do this. But in Hedera’s case, with many government and RWA clients, compliance is an issue for them. So it’s understandable to have this in place. Now let’s see what recent activities are bullish for Hedera and the $HBAR token.

CBDC News

This topic is always a double-edged sword. We have to report on it as it’s important. And there are crypto projects involved in it, even though it goes against what most of us in crypto believe in. But governments want it, and they will get it one way or another. So we might as well try to make $$ from it if we can’t prevent it. I’m talking about CBDCs.

Crypto X is rampant with videos, articles, and highlights about the World Economic Forum choosing XRP, Hedera, and Lumens networks to run their CBDCs on-chain and digitally. The Bank of England has already started with its Digital Pound. And one of the main networks it chose was Hedera. A digital Euro is coming too. Also on Hedera.

It’s one of 2 with Algorand in contention for a retail CBDC in Sweden. And it’s in the running in Australia too. Now you know as well as we do that none of this happens until it happens. But Hedera is laying the foundation and doing all the background work required to be a huge player in the CBDC market.

We don’t love CBDCs, but we do love how they will bring more people onto Hedera and hopefully try other apps and protocols too.

Growing RWA Tokenization Markets

The RWA sector is expecting to more than 20x in the next 5 years. Hedera is diving deep into this sector. Hedera’s partnership with Tokeny is going to make the tokenization of securities easier for institutions. And importantly, they can maintain the necessary compliance with their regulators. This one move is expected to bring billions of dollars of securities on-chain.

The DTCC is the main clearing entity for US securities. There is speculation all over $HBAR Twitter that Hedera and Chainlink are working directly with DTCC to help clear over 1 Quadrillion dollars in transactions. That would bring more assets on-chain than currently exist on-chain, so that would be some accomplishment. Even a small portion of this market 100x’s all of RWA and affiliated projects like $LINK and $HBAR.

But we are waiting for confirmation on this. When it comes to tokenization and RWA, we talk about many platforms. Ondo Finance is the big boy. Mantra just had its fall from grace. But the most important piece of blockchain infrastructure for RWA is oracles. And the most important oracle is Chainlink. So, watching what Chainlink does will tell you a lot about the direction of the sector.

So it’s no surprise to see that Hedera is now fully integrated with Chainlink’s CCIP. CCIP is its cross-chain interoperability protocol. Plus, Hedera just joined Chainlink Scale. This makes it easier for Hedera developers to use Chainlink’s oracles when building out apps. And with CCIP, Hedera’s apps can connect to 46 other blockchains. Super bullish.

Kenya has just digitized its stock exchange and opened itself up as an RWA listing platform, too. And who did they pick to do this for them? Hedera. The Kenya Digital Exchange will include both a regulated RWA platform and its existing stock market in digitized form.

Can $HBAR Reach $1

With all this bullish news and Hedera’s increasing alignment with RWA, it’s hard to bet against it. At its current price of 18c, $1 would be a 4x ROI.  That’s a big move. Is it possible? Absolutely. I’d even say it’s likely, especially if Hedera continues to grow its importance in RWA.

Could it happen this cycle? In this alt season, we are expecting later this year? Definitely can. It is a big move, though. It might need another bull cycle to get there. But I expect it will. It’s making too many good, big moves to be ignored.
