Missed ONDO? PLUME Network is The NEXT RWA Crypto Gem

Blackrock’s CEO Larry Fink states that he wants the SEC to rapidly approve tokenization of RWA. Once that happens, we will see RWA crypto tokens going to the moon. We have already seen what this news has done to Ondo. Today we will talk about another leading RWA project. It has already gathered a lot of attention. 

Look at the Plume Network Cryptorank IEO chart. Its token was already up 147% when it hit its ATH. However, now it’s super close to launching its mainnet. We see massive potential there. But can it be your next 10x altcoin? Also, there is a big risk too, something you need to be aware of. Watch this video to the end, where I discuss this in detail.

What Is Plume Network ($PLUME)

With the Plume Network ($PLUME) we’re in the RWA sector. Or, as Plume calls it, RWAfi. So, Plume offers tokenization for retail. That’s you and me. However, Plume also welcomes institutions to its services.

Chris Yin, Teddy Pornprinya, and Eugene Shen founded Plume Network in 2023. This resulted in its token launch in January 2025. Plume also built a public and EVM compatible blockchain. The team did this, since existing chains can’t deal with all the features a dedicated RWA chain needs. 

Plume’s chain is built from scratch. This allows it to manage the tokenization process and the tokenized assets. Currently, this chain is still in its testnet phase. However, its mainnet could launch this month or early June. Its testnet was successful with 18 million wallets and 280 million transactions. Launching its mainnet should give a boost to the protocol and its $PLUME token.

Plume brings TradFi onchain and gives it real utility. It designed its chain for usable RWAs, not for tokenized wrappers. Plume brings traditionally inaccessible assets onchain. Like, private credit, ETFs, or commodities. Most importantly, you can use them like real DeFi. In other words, stake, swap, lend, borrow, or loop these tokenized assets. Use them like crypto native assets.

Mainnet Launch

This makes Plume Network like an ecosystem that is designed for RWAfi. So, first we will see its mainnet launch. After that, you can expect phased onboarding. Each phase will unlock more use cases. This will also include more assets and DeFi integrations.

Phase Alpha should be completed anytime now. That was the first mainnet phase, but it’s not public. However, the Genesis phase is the next step and should be public.

Another feature that stands out is that YZi Labs invested in Plume. You may know this as Binance Labs, before it rebranded.

How Does Plume Network Work?

Plume has four core products that make it tick. These are important for us, the users. So, let’s take a closer look at them.

Plume Chain

As already discussed, currently in testnet. However, mainnet is imminent. On the Plume chain, you can find three more core products.

Arc — Tokenization Engine

Arc simplifies bringing RWAs onchain. It’s the full stack tokenization engine for RWAs. 

$pUSD

Besides its native $PLUME token, Plume also has its own stablecoin. That’s $pUSD. You can use this for payments, trading, or as collateral within Plume’s RWAfi ecosystem.

Passport — Smart Wallets

This is the RWAfi Wallet. It embeds custody and compliance straight into the wallet. It offers all the DeFi options whilst it is compliant.

Devs have three other tools to help them.

Skylink

Skylink allows for abstract yield distribution. It’s integrated with Layer Zero.

Nexus

Nexus offers efficient, real-time data integration. It does this by using oracles.

Developer SDK

That’s an essential tool; it’s the Software Development Kit.

$PLUME Tokenomics

The current $PLUME price is around 16 cents. It has a market cap of $383 million. A nice mid-range market cap. Out of the max and total supply of 10 billion $PLUME tokens, only 2.4 billion currently circulate. That’s not great but can also be expected from such a young project.

$PLUME is the native token. It has various use cases, like,

• It unlocks real world yield using by using it across dApps.
• Use it for transaction fees on the Plume Network.
• Governance. It allows holders to take part in the network decision-making processes.
• You can stake $PLUME, thus securing the network and earning rewards.
• It’s offered as a reward for taking part in community activities, quests, and referrals.

However, vesting is an issue with $PLUME. Vesting started on day 1. In July, token unlocks will even become bigger. Early investors and core contributors will add monthly unlocks. So, that might get messy. 4 However, with a bull run at our hands, and the RWA narrative, emissions may get absorbed. That’s not a guarantee, but a possibility.
