3 Token Unlocks to Watch This Week, September 2026

Plasma's $160M XPL unlock leads a $900M week of token releases on Sept 24-25, 2026.

Three token unlocks this week will release more than $900 million across the market. Plasma accounts for the bulk, with smaller but still notable releases from Humanity and SoSoValue. Here is what is on the schedule, who gets the tokens, and the data gaps that make a clean ranking hard.

Plasma's $160M XPL release on September 25

Plasma, a Layer 1 built for stablecoin payments, will unlock 1.76 billion XPL on September 25. The tranche is worth $159.91 million, which is 63.2% of every token released that week. Two recipients split the majority: investors and the team each get 833.33 million XPL. The team is also directing an additional 88.89 million XPL to ecosystem and growth work.

Plasma supports zero-fee USDT transfers, custom gas tokens, and confidential payments, so the supply heading into the market is going to a network that pitches itself on cost and throughput. Whether recipients sell or stake is the question that decides the price impact, and that is not something the schedule tells you.

Humanity unlocks 266.47M H across six buckets

Humanity, a decentralized identity protocol that uses biometric palm recognition and zero-knowledge proofs, releases 266.47 million H on September 25. The dollar value is $19.3 million, or 7.34% of the week's total.

The split is more fragmented than Plasma's. Early contributors take the largest single share at 79.17 million H, with investors receiving 55.56 million. The ecosystem fund claims 50 million, identity verification rewards 42.86 million, the Human Institute strategic reserve 26.39 million, and foundation operations 12.50 million. Six buckets means six decision points about whether to hold or sell.

SoSoValue: the smallest of the three at $6.97M

SoSoValue, a crypto data and research platform covering ETF flows and project analytics, unlocks 23.46 million SOSO on September 24. The tranche is worth $6.97 million, or 5.97% of the week's released supply.

Core contributors and investors each take 9.17 million SOSO, together making up the bulk. The ecosystem and airdrop bucket gets 2.58 million, the foundation 1.58 million, and partners 972,220 SOSO. SOSO is the platform's ERC-20 governance and access token, with SSI as its on-chain index product.

What the dollar size tells you, and what it does not

The week's $900 million total sets a clear pecking order. Plasma is the headline at $159.91 million. Humanity follows at $19.3 million. SoSoValue is third at $6.97 million. Other named releases include STBL, River, and Space ID in the same weekly unlock schedule, though dollar values for those were not given.

What this ranking does not tell you is which unlock will move price the most. That depends on circulating supply, daily trading volume, and how much of each tranche is already locked, staked, or held long-term. None of those numbers were in the schedule, and the same tally did not break out circulating supply, market cap, or order-book depth for any of the three tokens. The schedule also does not clarify whether these are one-time cliffs or linear emissions spread across a longer window, and that distinction can change the picture by an order of magnitude.

Without those inputs, dollar size is the only ranking available, and the answer it gives is blunt: Plasma first, by a wide margin, with Humanity and SoSoValue smaller in comparison. Watch the recipients on September 24 and 25 to see whether the supply lands in staking contracts or in places that can sell. That, more than the schedule, will set the tone.
