Plume Mainnet Launch!

The mainnet launch brings opportunities to interact with dApps on Plume and airdrops.

Plume has promised airdrops in the mainnet post. But the details are not out yet. Plume has not even updated its roadmap after the mainnet. Moreover, investor and team vestings are on the way and will start in July.

Sell the news event because the mainnet and upcoming vestings create a bearish condition for Plume. Another community airdrop can reduce the selling pressure. However, given the past activities of Plume, the airdrop may not be worth much. Naturally, there could be additional rewards for early participants. So, how do we get involved? We have also received Plume airdrop. What to do with it?

Plume Genesis

Before we head on over to the on-chain opportunities, let us look at what Plume Genesis brings for its users. In short, genesis is the first phase of bringing the Plume ecosystem to life, as well as bringing RWAfi to the crypto space. DApps, partnerships, and use cases will then be progressively announced.

On Plume, you can use RWAs just as you would any crypto native asset (E.G., Staking, Lending, Borrowing, etc) – the only difference is that these assets are designed to bring in stable, consistent real yield from the real world onchain. At launch, there are 50+ dApps, including blue chip protocols like Morpho, Curve, RWAfi, native protocols like Rooster, Solera, Mystic, and many more on Plume.

Plume Portal

The Plume Portal is your one-stop solution for navigating the Plume ecosystem. It enables Plume network participants to:

1. Discover Opportunities
   • Explore live dApps and protocols, from institutional-grade yield farms to AI-powered prediction markets.
   • Access curated lists of trending RWAs, like tokenized solar farms, rare metals, or private equity.
2. Track Your Portfolio
   • Monitor your real-time balances, TVL, transaction history, and contributions towards the Plume ecosystem.
3. Connect and Collaborate
   • Join leaderboards and see where you stand among the Goons, based on activity, Plume Points, or streaks.
   • Connect with other users, see the strategies they’ve taken.

Plume Points

Using the Plume Portal, you’ll earn Plume Points (PP) for participating in activities, such as:

• Use dApps: Every key onchain action, like contributing to TVL, swapping, staking, or interacting with unique dApps, earns you PP. Consistent activity boosts your PP earnings.
• Refer Friends: Earn 10% of your top referees’ PP, capped at your top 10 invitees.
• Complete Quests: Each week, complete guided tasks to earn PP while educating yourself about key RWAfi use cases supported on Plume.
• Wheel Spins: Spin the daily wheel, and get a shot at getting more PP or prizes.

We must get as much PP as possible since it represents a key part of the Season 2 of Plume’s airdrop campaign. Go to https://portal.plume.org/apps. Select Plume Points to filter dApps. Right now, 36 dApps are onboarded for Plume Points. Important ones are:

• Camelot.
• Curve.
• Morpho.

You can also earn Plume points through:

• Daily spin game – You need 2 PLUME for 1 spin – https://portal.plume.org/daily-spin
• Stake PLUME – https://staking.plume.org/
• Bridge to Plume using https://peth.plume.org/ – pETH is an LST on Plume

It is not clear how many PP can be earned for using each dApp. Such details might be revealed in the coming days.

Other Features

Aside from earning PP, there are other features you can explore on Plume Portal, such as:

• Sky Society – Rewards community members who have Discord roles, complete quests, and earn badges with VIP rewards and PP.
• Badges – For quests, social, and secret tasks.
• Daily Spins and Raffles – For regular rewards.

Our Take On Plume

Despite its mainnet announcement, the price of $PLUME has not pumped. It’s currently down on the day by 6% as of the time of writing. Couple that with the unlocks for early backers and core contributors (41% of total supply) in July this year, and we must take into account the selling pressure in the upcoming months.

We will be keeping a sharp eye out for price action before deciding if it’s worth it to take a position on $PLUME here. You can farm PP, but if you are short on time, please skip.

• No clear airdrop strategy because the PP system is ambiguous.
• Capital and time-intensive.
• Low liquidity on Plume. Some dApps have a TVL of $100 or less on Plume. Even Curve has less than $300 in TVL on Plume.

What to do with the airdrop?

First of all, if you have not claimed the airdrop yet, you can still claim it.

• Go to https://claim.plume.org/
• Connect your wallet and claim.

Please note that you can only claim 20% of your allocation, and the remaining 80% will be available in 90 days. You can immediately sell the 20% you received. If you have already claimed, you might have staked PLUME.

Go to https://staking.plume.org/, and you can unstake PLUME after a 21-day unstaking period. You can sell PLUME at the current price to offset upcoming selling pressure.
