Pump Fun Testing Its Own AMM Liquidity Pools

Pump.fun is making moves to control its own destiny.

Pump Fun Testing Its Own AMM Liquidity Pools

The popular Solana-based token launch platform is testing its own automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools, a shift that could change how pump tokens trade.

Right now, trading happens through Raydium, but it looks like Pump.fun wants to graduate its tokens to its own pools instead. The testing is already underway at amm.pump.fun.

Pump.fun Eyes AMM to Shake Up Solana Trading

For now, pump tokens rely on Raydium’s liquidity pools, meaning fees and trading mechanics are tied to an outside platform. By creating its own AMM, Pump.fun could keep more of the action in-house. This could mean more control over fees, allowing the platform to extract additional revenue from trades on Solana. It could also open the door for a reward system that benefits token holders, giving them a reason to stay invested.

If Pump.fun pulls this off, it could shake up how token trading works on Solana. Right now, Raydium is the go-to platform for liquidity, but a successful AMM from Pump.fun could create competition. That could lead to lower fees, better trading conditions, or even unique rewards that traders don’t get elsewhere.

On top of that, owning the liquidity pools means that this platform isn’t at the mercy of another platform’s rules. It gives them more flexibility to innovate and tweak how trades happen. For traders and token holders, that could mean better incentives, more efficient markets. Also, trading experience tailored to Pump.fun’s ecosystem.

More About Pump Fun

Bybit praised the Pump fun team for acting quickly to block and remove a Solana-based token linked to a potential hacker group. Bybit highlighted this as a strong example of proactive security. This shows how fast action can help protect the ecosystem.

By swiftly shutting down the token, the platform helped prevent possible threats. This ensures a safer trading environment for users.
