Top Potential RWA Gems Part 1

RWA is the sector that has the most potential in crypto. BlackRock’s CEO, Larry Fink, is publicly endorsing this sector. Predictions mention a $30 trillion RWA market by 2030. That’s a massive gain from today’s market share of $4 billion or $37.4 billion. CoinGecko shares two different lists with different values in them.

Nonetheless, RWA has massive potential. That’s why we look into 5 RWA gems that have low to mid-range market caps. This is Part 1 of a 2-part series. Here’s a link to Part 2.

Keeta Network ($KTA)

Keeta Network ($KTA) is my first pick in this RWA gems list. Ty Schenk founded Keeta Network in 2022 and raised $17 million in 2023. Eric Schmidt, ex Google CEO, was one of the investors. That didn’t go unnoticed and in May 2025, the $KTA token started to surge. It went from 12 cents to its ATH of $1.68 in only one month. It reached its ATH on 8th June.

Fake Testnet?

Keeta is currently in its testnet phase. Its mainnet should launch later this year. However, on 9th June, the X account of thespacecatjr (Mike Ruzic) posted that Keeta’s testnet is fake. 

On-chain sleuth ZachXBT mentioned that ‘sketchy KOLs’ were shilling the project. This resulted in a 25% drop in the $KTA token price in 24 hours, down to 78 cents on 15th June. Although these rumors could not be substantiated, the initial damage was done. After a recovery to over $1, the current $KTA price is at 87 cents, 15% down on the day. Its current market cap is $355 million. On a different note, the Bubblemaps picture of $KTA looks very sound. There’s no concentration of tokens, with only a few wallets. See the picture below.

Nonetheless, the fundamentals of Keeta seem strong. It has a partnership with Footprint. This offers a ‘one-click’ KYC option to other platforms. Another partnership is with Solo. This is the world’s first on-chain credit bureau. Eric Schmidt is also an investor in Solo. He may have had a helping hand in this partnership. That’s good on one side, since he can be instrumental in bringing more partners onboard. On the other hand, it’s not good that Keeta relies on one person for such partnerships.

Keeta Testnet TPS

Keeta also managed to get 11.2 million TPS (transactions per second) on their testnet. That offers opportunities for cross-chain transactions. Keeta wants to play a role in PayFi, so it needs this high throughput. TradFi firms like Visa and MasterCard work with 65,000 TPS. 

So, to sum up, Keeta has potential, with good fundamentals and reasonable tokenomics. Vesting starts in September 2025. However, it’s best to wait for the mainnet launch to see how the $KTA price will develop. According to Not Telling’s X account, Keeta has the potential to be the Solana of 2021.

Maple Finance ($SYRUP)

Maple Finance ($SYRUP) is a DeFi protocol that’s active in the RWA sector. It’s a lending marketplace focusing on institutions. It works similarly to Clearpool. That means, with undercollateralized loans. The reputation of a borrower has more weight than the collateral.

The protocol was launched in 2021 and started out with the $MPL token. As part of a rebranding and tokenomics upgrade, it’s now known as $SYRUP. The governance proposal was launched in August 2024, and it took effect in November 2024. Part of the tokenomics upgrade was a change from 1 $MPL to 100 $SYRUP. The current total supply is almost 1.2 billion $SYRUP. However, it has an unlimited supply. In other words, it’s inflationary. The current market cap is $572 million. The current $SYRUP price is 53 cents. Over the last 30 days, its price is up by 53.9%. See the UI of the app below.

You can use $SYRUP for governance, staking, or use it to collateralize lending pools. On the other hand, Maple also has a buyback and burn mechanism in place. So, there’s also a deflationary mechanism in place. 

Maple Syrup’s team engages actively with its community. If it can pull off this lending setup, it’s a token and project to keep an eye out for.

Conclusion
