Robinhood Chain Hits $2.66M in 24 Hour App Revenue, Surpassing Ethereum and Hyperliquid

Robinhood Chain generated $2.66 million in app revenue on August 31, surpassing Ethereum and Hyperliquid as Robinhood's onchain strategy gains traction.

Robinhood Chain generates $2.66 million in daily app revenue

Robinhood Chain has delivered a striking early revenue milestone, generating $2.66 million in app revenue in a single 24-hour period on August 31, according to DeFiLlama data.

That figure placed Robinhood’s Ethereum Layer-2 network ahead of Hyperliquid L1 at $1.70 million and Ethereum at $1.28 million. Only Solana generated more, with $5.07 million in app revenue during the same period.

For Robinhood investors, the number offers an early glimpse of whether the company’s onchain strategy can become a meaningful new revenue stream.

Three Apps Generated Most of Robinhood Chain’s Revenue

The revenue surge was heavily concentrated among three applications.

GMGN, a Telegram-based trading bot, generated approximately $803,000. Pons, a launchpad and swap platform native to Robinhood Chain, contributed another $632,000.

Uniswap added roughly $235,000 after its fee switch on Robinhood Chain went live on July 27.

Combined, the three applications generated around 88% of the chain’s total app revenue for the day.

That concentration presents both an opportunity and a risk.

The numbers demonstrate that Robinhood Chain can attract significant transaction activity, but much of that activity currently comes from trading, memecoins and launchpad transactions rather than the tokenized-stock infrastructure that sits at the center of Robinhood’s broader onchain strategy.

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev has acknowledged the chain's appeal for speculative trading, saying in a July X post that it “works great for memes too.”

Robinhood Chain Also Generated $495K in Net Gas Revenue

App revenue is not the only metric attracting attention.

Robinhood Chain generated approximately $495,000 in net gas revenue during the same 24-hour period after accounting for Ethereum Layer-1 costs and its share of the Arbitrum Expansion Program.

The Arbitrum Foundation reportedly received around $44,000 from the chain during the period.

For Robinhood, this creates a potentially important distinction from Ethereum-based activity: revenue generated at the chain level can become part of Robinhood’s own economic stack rather than flowing primarily to Ethereum validators.

One-Day Record Does Not Yet Put Robinhood Ahead

Despite the impressive daily figure, Robinhood Chain still trails established networks over longer periods.

Over 30 days, Hyperliquid generated approximately $53.41 million in app revenue, compared with $23.23 million for Robinhood Chain.

Ethereum generated roughly $45.8 million during the same period.

That makes the August 31 figure better viewed as a major daily spike rather than evidence that Robinhood has structurally overtaken larger blockchain ecosystems.

The key question is whether Robinhood can repeatedly generate this level of activity.

Robinhood Is Betting on Tokenized Stocks

Robinhood Chain launched on July 1, 2026, as an Ethereum Layer-2 built using the Arbitrum Orbit stack.

The network is designed to support Robinhood's broader push into tokenized real-world assets, particularly stocks and other financial products.

Robinhood has also highlighted rapid adoption. Tenev said the network reached 100 million transactions faster than any other EVM chain, while Robinhood Crypto reported that cumulative trading volume across Stock Token DEXs had surpassed $1.5 billion by late August.

That puts Robinhood in an increasingly competitive market.

Coinbase and Kraken are also expanding their onchain equity offerings, meaning the race is shifting from simply launching tokenized assets to building the infrastructure, liquidity and distribution capable of supporting them at scale.

The Biggest Problem for HOOD Bulls

There is still a major limitation to Robinhood Chain's current growth story.

Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain are not available to U.S. persons.

That matters because Robinhood's core brokerage business is heavily tied to U.S. customers. The company generated approximately $1.31 billion in Q2 2026 revenue, but much of that existing customer base cannot currently access the chain's tokenized-equity products.

As a result, Robinhood must prove that international users, traders and developers can generate enough onchain activity to turn the network into a substantial business before its tokenized-stock offering reaches a broader U.S. audience.

Can Robinhood Chain Change HOOD's Revenue Story?

Robinhood's traditional brokerage business faces pressure from changing trading activity and lower crypto revenue.

Against that backdrop, onchain fees offer investors a different growth narrative.

The August 31 data point is certainly encouraging: Robinhood Chain generated more daily app revenue than Ethereum and Hyperliquid.

But one day's performance is not enough to establish a trend.

The next test will be whether revenue remains elevated after the latest burst of launchpad and memecoin activity fades. If tokenized stocks and other real-world assets begin contributing a larger share of transaction volume, Robinhood Chain's revenue could become more diversified and potentially more valuable to HOOD investors.

For now, Robinhood has demonstrated that its blockchain can generate serious fee activity. The bigger question is whether that activity can become durable revenue.
