Robinhood introduced 3 new features during their recent event in San Francisco. One new option is a cash delivery service to your doorstep.
Among other benefits, you receive a 4% APY on your savings. However, the one service that stood out was cash delivery on demand.So, let’s take a closer look at what Robinhood is cooking.
The cash delivery service by Robinhood is exactly what it says. You get cash delivered to your doorstep. However, as of now, there’s no mention of limits you can order. It’s like a Grab or Uber service but for cash. So, you don’t need to go out and look for an ATM, in case there’s no ATM available in your neighborhood. Or, if you don’t feel like stepping outside your house.

The service will have fees, and overage will vary based on geographic location. There’s also no information on insurance for the delivery person or service. Walking around with a large amount of cash could potentially get the attention of bad actors.
According to their website, this service should be available in the fall of 2025. However, Gold Members can apply for early access. A similar service is already active in certain areas of Central and South America. Rappi offers this service, among others, in Mexico. The dispatched Rappi driver withdraws the requested amount from an ATM. Once he has the cash, he delivers it to your doorstep. You pay the requested amount and the service fee in the Rappi app.
This service is part of a bigger service upgrade that Robinhood will offer later this year. It also includes a ‘Strategies’. This works like a private wealth management service. The other update is their Cortex service. This is an AI investment tool.
Robinhood presented all these new features a week ago during their ‘The Lost City Of Gold‘ event. This took place in San Francisco. The three features all aim to improve wealth management. The cash delivery service is part of their Banking upgrade.
