On June 16, 2025, Truth Social filed an S-1 form with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch what they’re calling the “Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF.” It’s a dual-crypto ETF, meaning it includes both BTC and ETH under one roof.
This is one of the first ETFs proposed by a platform closely tied to a political figure—and it’s generating considerable interest. James Seyffart from Bloomberg says it’s a significant move that combines politics, technology, and finance in a way we haven’t seen before.
Yorkville America Digital, LLC, the sponsor of this ETF, will manage the ETF. Their goal is to provide investors with a cleaner, more straightforward way to access crypto without the complicated wallet setups or managing private keys.
According to the filing, this ETF proposes dedicating 75 percent of its funds to Bitcoin and 25 percent to Ethereum. NYSE Arca will list it after approval. Crypto.com will act as the custodian (who stores the crypto safely) and the source of liquidity (for efficiency in trading the ETF).
It also demonstrates the extent to which the concept of a Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF has become mainstream. A niche investment, once considered far-fetched, is being implemented by the most prominent platforms and names.
This bold step by Truth Social to create a Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF may open a new frontier for investors and generate buzz in the crypto and political sectors. This step indicates that cryptocurrency is gaining momentum and influencing politics, social media, and the financial industry. However, it still requires approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
