What are AI Agents And How to Find Their Altcoins?

AI agents are the next hot sector in crypto. Their current market cap is $5.3 billion but supposed to grow to $200 billion in 2030.

The market is a sea of red again, but there is this new narrative that is heating up. This is where we can find our next 100x ride in this sector. The next big up-and-coming narrative is AI agents. Listen to what Nvidia’s CEO has to say. AI agents are popping up left, right, and in the middle of various chains.

In 2024 this sector grew by 480%. The current AI agents market cap is $5.3 billion. In 2030, that’s expected to grow to $200 billion. That’s a 38x. But the big question is how can you quickly find AI agents that will be your 100x opportunity. Let’s find that out.

What Are AI Agents?

AI agents are different compared to AI chatbots. An AI agent is autonomous. On the other hand, AI chatbots follow human-built scripts. They’re not very flexible, but they’re good at performing specific and simple tasks. For example, answering FAQs.

However, an AI agent will find the best way to get to a specific goal that a human sets out for it. For example, an AI agent can analyze the crypto market to predict price action trends in the future.

In a recent video, I covered four different AI agents. Check the link here. One of these agents is Virtuals. That’s an agent that you can find on Ethereum and Base. This is the agent I will use today, as a sample, since it’s the most popular one among them. Each chain has similar agents, Solana, Sui, Injective, you name it. They all work more or less the same. So, here we go.

AI Agent Platforms

What we are looking for are AI agent platforms. These platforms serve as launchpads for developers to create their AI agents. So, these platforms give us access to AI agent tokens. And that’s what we’re after, AI agent launchpads.

I mentioned already that I will use Virtuals today. However, other popular launchpads are, for example,

  • ai16z and Griffain on Solana.
  • Humans AI on Osmosis
  • Sentient AI or Agent S on Sui.

So, let’s find out how to find good AI agents.

How to Find AI Agents

So, once you’re on Virtuals, there are a few steps to follow. Here we go,

  • Go to the ‘Prototype‘ section. This is where you can find untested, high-potential agents. Their first launch is here.
  • Click on the ‘New pairs’ box. That’s on the top left of the page.
  • Now you sort them by “created at”. This shows you which ones are new.

However, we also want to know which ones are the good agents, right? Well, successful AI agents have various key traits that we’re looking for.

  • Utility — Agents must have utility. Without utility, they’re not going to make it. Especially agents that can make you money do particularly well. For example, $AIXBT, $DKING, or $POLY.
  • Execution Speed — If the idea is good, but the team is slow, you may as well skip it. The team should ship new features fast. They should also be responsive to feedback. Teams with consistent execution dominate their sector. Like $AIXBT, it helps you gain actionable insights.
  • Good OnChain Data — Look for strong on-chain data. If you can’t find this data, you may as well skip the agent. Here’s what to look for,
  • Ascension Progress. If tokens bond in under 30 minutes, it shows strong demand. The faster they bond, the better it is.
  • Holder Growth. You want to look for a growing number of holders. The least should be 1,000+ holders per $1M of market cap.

So, this should get you on your way to finding good AI agents on Virtuals. These are the fundamental key traits that you are looking for, regardless of what chain you’re on.
