XRP, Bitcoin, Shiba Inu and Zcash Price Analysis: Key Levels to Watch on August 18

XRP remains under pressure near $1 while Bitcoin consolidates above $63,000. Here are the key technical levels for XRP, BTC, SHIB and ZEC.

The crypto market is seeing a sharp increase in trading activity on August 18, but higher volume has not yet translated into a clear trend reversal. XRP remains under pressure near the $1 level, while Bitcoin is holding above $63,000 and Shiba Inu continues to trade near the lower end of its 2026 range.

Zcash is the standout among the four assets. ZEC remains above its major moving averages and is showing a stronger recovery structure, although declining trading volume could limit the strength of its next breakout.

Here are the key price levels and technical signals traders should watch for XRP, BTC, SHIB and ZEC.

XRP Price Analysis: $1 Remains the Critical Support

XRP is still struggling to establish a recovery after slipping below the psychological $1 level. The token is currently trading around $1.002, leaving the $1 mark as the most important short-term support.

The broader structure remains bearish. XRP continues to form lower highs and lower lows, while its price remains below the short-term moving average near $1.04. Longer-term averages are even higher, around $1.16 and $1.35.

For bulls, the first task is to reclaim the $1.04-$1.08 area. A sustained move above $1.08 could open the way toward $1.15-$1.16.

However, a daily close below $1 would weaken the setup further. With little immediate support below that level, XRP could then move toward $0.95.

This makes the current $1 defense especially important. As covered in our earlier XRP price outlook as network activity hits a two-month high, network activity has provided some support for the token, but price action still needs to confirm a recovery.

Bitcoin Price Analysis: BTC Holds Above $63,000

Bitcoin is showing more stability than XRP despite its broader weak trend.

BTC is trading around $63,650 after spending much of August consolidating following its recovery from below $60,000. The immediate battle is taking place around the $63,000-$64,000 zone.

Bitcoin is currently close to its short-term moving averages around $63,650-$63,800. This suggests that buyers and sellers are closely balanced at current levels.

The bigger hurdle is the declining intermediate moving average near $66,300. A break above this level would provide the first meaningful bullish signal and could put $70,000-$71,600 back in focus.

The long-term moving average near $71,600 remains a much stronger structural resistance level. Until BTC moves above these areas, the current price action looks more like consolidation than a confirmed trend reversal.

Shiba Inu Price Analysis: SHIB Remains Near 2026 Lows

Shiba Inu continues to trade close to the bottom of its 2026 range. SHIB is currently around $0.00000447, with recent price action showing stabilization but little evidence of a major bullish reversal.

The short-term moving averages are clustered around $0.00000447-$0.00000457, keeping SHIB in a compressed trading range.

The more important resistance sits near $0.00000490-$0.00000500. A sustained move above $0.000005 could reopen the path toward $0.00000550-$0.00000580.

Momentum remains mixed. SHIB's RSI is around 46, below the neutral 50 level but far from oversold conditions.

On the downside, the first support zone sits around $0.00000430-$0.00000440. Losing that area could expose the psychological $0.000004 level and the July lows near $0.00000410.

For now, SHIB appears to be consolidating near its lows rather than starting a confirmed recovery.

Zcash Price Analysis: ZEC Shows the Strongest Structure

Zcash stands out from the other three assets because its technical structure remains relatively strong.

ZEC is trading around $511 after gaining roughly 5% on its latest daily candle. More importantly, the token remains above its major moving averages, preserving the recovery that started after the March-April lows.

The immediate support zone is between $490 and $500. Short-term moving averages are grouped around $493-$495, making $490 an important level for the current setup.

If ZEC remains above $490, bulls could retest the $520-$530 resistance area. A breakout above that zone could shift attention toward $550-$570, where the July rally previously faced selling pressure.

The longer-term structure also remains constructive. ZEC's long-term moving average is near $426 and continues to rise.

However, declining volume is a concern. A stronger breakout would be more convincing if trading activity increases alongside the move.

If ZEC loses $490, the next important support is around $470-$475. A deeper breakdown could bring $425-$430 into focus.

Four Charts, Four Different Market Setups

The current technical picture is mixed across these four cryptocurrencies:

Asset

Current Price

Key Support

Key Resistance

XRP

~$1.00

$0.95-$1.00

$1.04-$1.08

BTC

~$63,650

$63,000

$66,300

SHIB

~$0.00000447

$0.00000430-$0.00000440

$0.00000490-$0.00000500

ZEC

~$511

$490-$500

$520-$530

XRP needs to reclaim $1.08 to improve its short-term structure, while Bitcoin faces a more important test around $66,300. SHIB remains stuck near its lows, whereas ZEC has the strongest technical setup but still needs higher volume to confirm a breakout.

What Traders Should Watch Next

The key theme across the market is confirmation.

For XRP, holding $1 and reclaiming $1.04-$1.08 would strengthen the recovery case. Bitcoin needs to break above $66,300 to shift its short-term structure. SHIB must clear $0.000005 before its recovery becomes more convincing.

Zcash currently has the strongest setup, but traders should watch whether volume returns as ZEC approaches $520-$530.

Until those levels break decisively, the market remains in a phase where consolidation and failed breakouts are possible.
