XRP trades near $1.35, at its $1.36 ceiling. A ceiling is a price where rises have stopped before.
The price rose about 2% on 21 October. It now sits right on that ceiling, a level with a long record on this chart. Will rises stop there again?
A Former Floor Has Turned XRP Back 9 Times
The $1.36 level was a floor until the price fell under it. A floor is a price where falls have stopped before.
Since early October 2025, the level has turned the price 9 times.
The last turn came on 8 October.
That level now sits right at the price. XRP is not just near this ceiling but on it.

Is Trading Heavier as XRP Meets $1.36?
Trading volume, the total value bought and sold, came to $143 million on 21 October. That was close to its 20-day average.
By that measure, 21 October was an ordinary trading day.
The bigger picture for the month is weaker. XRP is still down about 9% this month so far.
Where XRP's Test at $1.36 Could Settle
A daily close is the last price of the day.
A daily close above $1.36 would leave the next ceiling at $1.41. That level sits about 4% above the price.
On the other side, the nearest floor is $1.28. It sits about 6% below the price.
A daily close below $1.28 would leave the next floor at $1.17. That level sits about 13% below the price.

A daily close above $1.36 or below $1.28 would settle the test. Source: Binance XRP/USDT daily prices, to the 21 October daily close, computed by www.altcoinbuzz.io.
Until then, XRP sits between the $1.28 floor and the $1.36 ceiling. A daily close past either one would settle it.
