Big Moves for Sui

Despite the market’s terrible conditions over the last couple of weeks, Sui is still one of the industry darlings of this cycle. It seems like they can do no wrong and every partnership and growth announcement means real growth is happening.

Let’s check out some of the things Sui has been up to to get and keep its place among crypto’s elite.

WLFI Partnership

The most visible thing you’ve seen about Sui lately is this. Sui is now a partner of Trump’s World Liberty Financial. This includes WLFI adding Sui to its own strategic holdings. This will be a real boon for Sui DeFi particularly projects like Deepbook and Cetus.

Walrus Crushing

Walrus is the decentralized data protocol founded by Mysten Labs. That’s the same team behind Sui. They are just crushing it in testnet right now and signing partners all over from gaming to entertainment to RWA and DeFi.

Sui Gaming Summit March 18th

We haven’t talked about the gains Sui is making in gaming in a while. They have the SuiPlay0X1. It’s already the fastest-selling handheld device in crypto gaming. The team and ecosystem care a lot about gaming even if they aren’t talking about it all the time.

Gaming takes center stage for Sui at its Sui Gaming Summit coming on March 18th to San Francisco. Evan Cheng, one of the co-founders of Mysten Labs, will be one of the featured speakers.

Sui Is More Secure Now

With this partnership with Merkle Science, the entire ecosystem will now have better risk assessment tools to help fight against scammers and better threat detection and risk management. Merkle Science says that Sui will get real time transaction monitoring for DeFi and NFTs. The NFTs is a big one and not just due to Sui’s interest in gaming.

Thanks to its use of the Move language and how it handles objects and large chunks of data called blobs, more projects are coming to Sui and Walrus for storage and platform operations. And people have thought Move is a more secure language than Solidity which Ethereum uses but there have not been tools to help make it even safer or find threats early until now.

This is going to add a layer of trust and credibility for the project and the Mysten Labs team.

Testing Passkeys

And finally today, testing is going on now in Sui’s testnet for using passkeys. Without passwords or other things that easily become the target of phishing attacks or scams, passkeys would make all accounts safer. It’s in testing now to ensure safety. We expect this feature to come online soon.
