Bitcoin fell to $75,242 after the Federal Reserve raised rates by 25 basis points, while another 2026 hike and the failed CLARITY Act vote add pressure to crypto markets.

The Federal Reserve raised rates by 25 basis points to 3.75% - 4%, its first hike since July 2023, while Bitcoin remained near $75,700 after a volatile reaction.

Ripple says the failed CLARITY Act vote did not change XRP’s established legal position, while Strategy argues Bitcoin already has regulatory clarity in the U.S.

Long positions worth about $571 million were force-closed after the Clarity Act failed a 49-50 procedural vote in the U.S. Senate, with bitcoin and ether longs taking roughly $190 million each.
