Glacier Drop Explained: Check If You Qualify

The Glacier Drop is right around the corner, marking the beginning of the NIGHT token’s highly anticipated distribution

VVictor•Jul 29, 2025
Glacier Drop Explained: Check If You Qualify

Built by Shielded Technologies, this multi-chain airdrop aims to reward early supporters. It also seeks to onboard a broader crypto community across eight major blockchains. If you’re holding ADA, BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, AVAX, or BAT, now is the time to check. See if your wallet qualifies for the airdrop.

A snapshot was taken across all eight chains just before midnight UTC on June 11, 2025. Token holders meeting the minimum balance requirements at that exact moment are eligible to claim NIGHT in Stage 1 of the drop. But even if you don’t qualify now, Stage 2—called the Scavenger Mine—will be open to everyone.

How to Check If You’re Eligible

The snapshot data is now public. You can compare your wallet balances at the specified block heights and times to see if you qualify. For example, anyone who held at least 0.6060 SOL at block height 345978737 is eligible. Similar cutoffs apply to other chains: 0.03561 ETH, 0.0009071 BTC, 139.6601 ADA, and so on. These balances were selected to reward active participants while keeping the entry level accessible.

Once the claim phase begins, head to midnight.gd. The site will host the official Glacier Drop claim portal, which includes a simple tool to check any wallet for eligibility. You’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to complete the claim process, along with a list of wallets verified for compatibility.

Shielded Technologies is currently testing major wallets like MetaMask, Yoroi, Phantom, and others to ensure smooth functionality across all ecosystems. If your preferred wallet isn’t on the verified list, don’t worry—it may still work. A manual claim option will also be available, though it requires signing a claim message using external cryptographic tools, which is only recommended for advanced users.

What Comes Next

This is just the beginning of NIGHT token distribution. In future updates, the team will share how many wallets qualified and which ones are confirmed to work with the portal. If you’re not eligible for Stage 1, the upcoming Scavenger Mine phase will give everyone a shot to earn NIGHT through a more interactive process.

The Glacier Drop sets the tone for how thoughtful, multi-chain airdrops can reward early adopters while expanding access. Whether you’re a longtime holder or just getting started, take a moment to check your eligibility and prepare for launch day.
