EasyA Hits $1.1B Valuation and Wants Its Shares Tokenized

EasyA says it reached a $1.1 billion valuation and filed for a direct listing. Tokenized shares are on the roadmap, with no mechanics disclosed yet.

EasyA says it has reached a $1.1 billion valuation, and it wants its own shares to trade in tokenized form once the stock is public.

The figure comes from the company's 14 October announcement, a release distributed from San Francisco and labelled a paid press release on the page that carries it. The release says the milestone "catapults EasyA into an elite club of companies that have become unicorns." What it does not carry is a share price, or a public filing you can check the number against. EasyA's registration with the SEC is still confidential.

The Listing Filing Exists, the Date Does Not

On 25 September, EasyA said it had confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form F-1 to the SEC for a proposed direct listing of its ordinary shares. A direct listing lets existing shareholders sell into the market without the company raising fresh capital, the route EasyA chose over a traditional IPO.

The statement was issued under Rule 135 and says it is not an offer to sell securities. It gives no timeline. The listing is expected after the SEC completes its review, "subject to market and other conditions," and the October release still calls it proposed, with no year attached.

What The Platform Actually Ships

EasyA's main product is a phone app that teaches people to build blockchain and AI applications. The October release says the app has over 1 million users and partners with more than 350 academic institutions. EasyA's own site runs a live counter reading "Join 1,321,532 others building now." The two user figures do not line up.

The release names Google, Amazon, Coinbase and Ripple as partners. The site names Ripple, Google and AWS, and quotes Ripple SVP Markus Infanger saying the tie-up "taps into their strong crypto community, helping us bring another informative resource for developers globally to learn and build on the XRPL."

The site also says EasyA has given away more than $2 million to developers, and lists hackathons it ran this year, including Consensus Hong Kong on 10 to 12 February with $58,000 in prizes and Consensus Miami on 5 to 7 May with $200,000 in prizes.

Tokenized Shares Are a Stated Plan, Not a Product

Tokenization is the part with no machinery attached. Dom Kwok, EasyA's co-founder and chief operating officer, has described the plan as "definitely on the roadmap," and the company wants its shares available in tokenized form, potentially from the first day of public trading.

EasyA has not disclosed how those tokens would be issued, which chain they would sit on, or where they would trade. Tokenized public equities are moving elsewhere in the market, with Morgan Stanley pushing its own tokenized equity plans to the first quarter of 2027. EasyA's version, so far, is an intention with nothing shipped behind it.

There is no price for an EasyA share, no public filing to read, and no answer on what a tokenized version of one would give its holder. The $1.1 billion is a valuation the company announced for itself. Whether the market agrees is a question the SEC review has to clear first.
