GoMining Partners With Uphold to Expand Bitcoin Ecosystem and Accelerate Global Growth

GoMining has partnered with Uphold to integrate regulated digital asset infrastructure, accelerating global expansion while enhancing services for its 5 million users.

GoMining is taking another step toward becoming a broader Bitcoin ecosystem by partnering with digital asset infrastructure provider Uphold. Through the integration of Uphold's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), GoMining will add regulated crypto services to its platform without building the underlying infrastructure itself.

The partnership is designed to help GoMining scale faster, improve the user experience, and strengthen compliance as it expands into new markets. Initially, the integration will serve users in the United States, with the potential for broader international expansion over time.

GoMining Taps Uphold for Infrastructure

GoMining has grown far beyond its original focus of making Bitcoin mining more accessible. Today, the platform serves more than 5 million users and ranks among the world's top ten Bitcoin miners by hashrate.

Its flagship product allows users to gain exposure to Bitcoin mining through tokenized hashrate instead of purchasing expensive mining hardware. Over time, the company has expanded its offerings with products such as recurring Bitcoin purchases, staking, and other Bitcoin-focused financial services.

As its product suite expanded, GoMining faced a familiar challenge for fast-growing crypto companies: adding regulated financial services across multiple jurisdictions is both expensive and time-consuming.

Rather than spending years building compliance systems and obtaining licenses independently, GoMining chose to integrate Uphold's existing infrastructure through APIs.

The result is a seamless experience where customers continue using the GoMining application while Uphold handles the complex operational processes behind the scenes.

Uphold Will Power Compliance and Trading

Under the partnership, Uphold will manage many of the functions required to operate regulated crypto services.

These include:

  • Customer onboarding
  • Know Your Customer (KYC) verification
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance
  • Fraud prevention
  • Asset custody
  • Cryptocurrency buying, selling, and holding

Importantly, GoMining retains ownership of the customer relationship. Users will continue interacting exclusively with the GoMining interface without needing to create separate Uphold accounts or leave the platform during transactions.

This model allows GoMining to launch new services significantly faster while reducing operational complexity.

Better Liquidity Through Multiple Trading Venues

One of the key advantages of the integration is access to Uphold's extensive trading infrastructure.

Instead of relying on a single exchange, Uphold connects to more than 30 centralized and decentralized trading venues. For every transaction, its system searches across available liquidity sources to identify competitive pricing and execute trades efficiently.

For GoMining users, this could translate into:

  • Improved execution prices
  • Greater trading liquidity
  • Higher reliability during periods of market volatility

The platform also cited Uphold's strong payment approval rates and regulatory footprint in both the United States and the United Kingdom as important factors behind the decision.

Building for Long-Term Growth

GoMining CEO Mark Zalan said the company has evolved into much more than a Bitcoin mining platform.

According to Zalan, GoMining now aims to support payments, educational tools, and a growing collection of Bitcoin-focused financial products within a single application.

He noted that partnering with Uphold enables the company to continue expanding globally while maintaining a smooth customer experience.

Robin O'Connell, CEO of Uphold Enterprise, echoed that view, saying the partnership allows enterprise customers like GoMining to access compliant digital asset infrastructure without sacrificing their own brand identity or user experience.

He also highlighted that future innovations developed on Uphold's retail platform could eventually become available to GoMining users through the same integration.

Why Infrastructure Partnerships Matter

As crypto adoption grows, many companies are shifting away from building every component internally. Instead, they are increasingly relying on infrastructure providers that specialize in compliance, custody, payments, and liquidity.

This approach offers several advantages:

  • Faster product launches
  • Lower regulatory burden
  • Reduced operational costs
  • Easier expansion into new jurisdictions

For consumer-facing platforms, it also allows teams to focus on product development and customer engagement rather than maintaining complex financial infrastructure.

The GoMining-Uphold partnership reflects this broader trend, where infrastructure providers enable crypto applications to scale while remaining compliant with evolving regulations.

Final Thoughts

The integration of Uphold's Platform-as-a-Service represents another milestone in GoMining's transition from a Bitcoin mining platform into a broader Bitcoin financial ecosystem.

By outsourcing critical infrastructure such as compliance, custody, fraud prevention, and liquidity management, GoMining can expand its services more quickly while keeping the customer experience unchanged.

If the rollout proves successful in the U.S., the partnership could provide a framework for future international expansion, giving GoMining access to regulated crypto services without the lengthy process of building the infrastructure from scratch.
