HYPE sets fresh ATH near $96 as $100 comes into view

HYPE set a new all-time high of roughly $96, putting the $100 mark within reach as Hyperliquid entered price discovery with no historical resistance above the new print. The token was trading close to $95.40 on the daily chart, comfortably above every major moving average.

The move extended a recovery that began in the $77 - $78 range. Buyers reclaimed $80, then pushed through the prior highs between $87 and $90 before advancing into uncharted territory.

What powered the move

Hyperliquid had recently launched manual borrowing, which lets HYPE and BTC serve as collateral for USDC and USDT loans. On the first day, $269 million was borrowed and more than $400 million in liquidity was supplied.

The broader ecosystem had been building through the run. HIP-3 accounted for more than $4.44 billion in volume in August. Total open interest recently reached $14.3 billion. Per Hyperliquid Strategies, the ecosystem added about $945 million in value over the year ending June 2026, with protocol economics tied to HYPE buybacks.

Three scenarios from the new high

Direct path to $100. A sustained break above $96 puts $100 in play quickly. Without historical resistance above the current all-time high, psychological levels carry more weight than chart structure.

Consolidation. HYPE could spend a few sessions between about $90 and $96. After the rapid move from $78, that pause would let short-term momentum and RSI cool before the next leg.

Deeper test. Losing $90 opens a return to the prior breakout range of $85 - $87. Below that, the next significant support sits at $80 - $82.
