HYPE, ZEC, ETH and SHIB Face Key September Levels as Volatility Cools
HYPE, ZEC, ETH and SHIB remain broadly bullish, but cooling momentum and nearby resistance levels are putting key September support and breakout zones in focus.

Hyperliquid (HYPE), Zcash (ZEC), Ethereum (ETH), and Shiba Inu (SHIB) remain broadly bullish, but declining momentum and nearby resistance levels suggest the next moves could be more volatile.
HYPE Holds Above Key $78 Support
Hyperliquid has cooled after one of its strongest rallies of the year. HYPE fell about 3.2% to around $82.50, retreating from a recent high near $89.
The broader trend remains bullish. HYPE rallied from roughly $56 - $60 in late August and broke above its previous major highs near $75. It also remains above its major daily moving averages, with the 20-day average around $77.82 and the 50-day and 100-day averages near $66.82 and $65.39.
The $78 - $80 zone is now the key support area. Holding it could give HYPE another opportunity to challenge $88 - $90, while a breakout could open the way toward the psychological $100 level.
The RSI has cooled to around 57 after reaching overbought territory, suggesting momentum has normalized rather than completely reversed.

Zcash Rally Faces Its First Major Test
Zcash remains one of the strongest altcoin performers, but its extended rally is making a correction increasingly possible.
ZEC climbed from around $480 in August to above $1,240 before pulling back toward $1,149. The token remains far above its major moving averages, with the 20-day average around $849.
The RSI near 75.8 adds another warning. An overbought reading does not guarantee a reversal, particularly during a powerful trend, but it makes chasing the rally at current levels riskier.
The first major resistance sits around $1,230 - $1,250. A decisive breakout could send ZEC toward $1,300.
On the downside, $1,080 - $1,100 is the first zone to watch, followed by $1,000. A deeper correction toward $850 would still leave the broader structure intact.
This setup also follows the recent surge in Zcash derivatives activity, where ZEC open interest reached roughly $2.4 billion as traders increasingly positioned themselves around the rally.

Ethereum Consolidates Above $2,400
Ethereum is holding near $2,459 after its sharp August breakout.
ETH previously broke out from the $1,880 - $1,920 consolidation range and moved above its major moving averages. The 20-day average is now around $2,345, while the 200-day average sits near $2,185.
Momentum has cooled, however. Trading volume has declined since the breakout and RSI has fallen toward 60.
The immediate resistance is $2,520 - $2,560. Clearing $2,560 could put $2,600 - $2,650 back into focus.
Meanwhile, $2,400 remains the first important support. Losing it would expose the rising 20-day average near $2,345.
Ethereum's setup is particularly notable given the recent institutional demand for ETH ETFs and the broader recovery in crypto ETF flows.

SHIB Needs to Break Its 200-Day Average
Shiba Inu remains less convincing than the other three assets but has maintained a short-term recovery.
SHIB trades around $0.00000541, up from its August low near $0.00000440. The token is above its 20-day average at $0.00000517 and its 50-day and 100-day averages near $0.00000491 and $0.00000503.
The major obstacle is the 200-day moving average near $0.00000567.
A sustained breakout above that level could open the way toward $0.00000600 - $0.00000620. However, declining volume suggests the latest recovery lacks the participation seen during SHIB's stronger rallies.
If SHIB loses $0.00000517, the $0.00000490 - $0.00000500 area becomes the key defensive zone.

What Comes Next for the Four Altcoins?
The four charts share a similar setup: the broader trends remain constructive, but momentum is cooling near important resistance levels.
HYPE needs to hold $78 - $80, ZEC must defend the $1,080 - $1,100 region, ETH needs to stay above $2,400, while SHIB faces its biggest test at $0.00000567.
For now, these levels should determine whether September brings another leg higher or a deeper round of profit-taking.
