Hyperliquid’s $HYPE token supply continues to shrink through reported token burns, with 49.87 million $HYPE permanently removed from supply, valued at approximately $3.89 billion. The latest 24-hour period saw another 19,700 HYPE burned, worth around $1.59 million, while estimated fees reached $1.69 million.
The latest figures highlight the connection between Hyperliquid’s trading activity and its token economics. $HYPE was trading near $82 in the reported market snapshot, with daily trading volume of approximately $753 million. Meanwhile, the platform continues to expand into new markets and applications, including stock and commodity perpetual futures, integrations with external trading platforms, and the upcoming Elysium Layer-2 network.
Hyperliquid’s HYPE burn reaches 49.87 million tokens
According to the latest reported on-chain figures, Hyperliquid has burned 49.87 million $HYPE, representing approximately 4.99% of its maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. The cumulative value of the reported burns stands at around $3.89 billion.
During the latest 24-hour period, 19,700 HYPE worth approximately $1.59 million was burned. Estimated fees for the same period reached $1.69 million, while cumulative historical fee revenue stood at approximately $1.38 billion.
These figures show how activity on Hyperliquid is connected to the token’s supply mechanism. The platform directs eligible fee revenue toward its Assistance Fund, which purchases HYPE. The reported burn figures indicate that tokens are being permanently removed from supply under the mechanism described by the latest data.
Altcoin Buzz previously examined the size of the fund in its report, Hyperliquid Assistance Fund buys 48 million HYPE for $1.36 billion. The report covered the fund’s accumulated holdings and the distinction between tokens purchased by the fund and tokens confirmed as permanently burned.
HYPE trading activity and XMR positions draw attention
HYPE was trading near $82 in the reported market snapshot, with approximately $753 million in daily trading volume. The token’s market activity comes as Hyperliquid supports a growing range of perpetual futures markets beyond conventional cryptocurrency pairs.
Trading activity is also visible in individual positions on the platform. On-chain monitoring reported that a newly created wallet deposited $4 million in USDC and opened a 5x leveraged long position on 3,000 XMR, valued at approximately $1.77 million.
The position indicates that at least one trader was betting on Monero’s price rising. However, a single large position does not establish that traders broadly favor long positions, and leveraged trades can be liquidated if prices move against them.
Pump.fun integration expands Hyperliquid’s reach
Hyperliquid is also gaining exposure through integrations with other trading applications. On October 28, Pump.fun added Hyperliquid-powered perpetual futures to its app, allowing eligible users to trade cryptocurrency, stock, and commodity markets using USDC. The integration gives users access to Hyperliquid’s derivatives infrastructure through Pump.fun’s interface.
The integration expands the ways users can reach Hyperliquid markets without having to use its standalone trading interface. Pump.fun handles the user-facing experience, while Hyperliquid provides the underlying perpetual futures infrastructure.
The development adds to the ecosystem’s expanding trading activity and creates another route for users to access its markets. However, the long-term effect on HYPE demand will depend on actual usage, trading volume, and the fees generated through eligible activity.
HIP-3 open interest exceeds $4 billion
Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 markets have also grown beyond cryptocurrency derivatives. HIP-3 allows builders to deploy their own perpetual futures markets, including contracts linked to stocks, indices, commodities, and other assets.
A recent market snapshot showed approximately $4.12 billion in open interest across 169 live HIP-3 markets, with the XYZ deployment accounting for around 97% of the total. The markets recorded approximately $3.94 billion in trading volume over the preceding 24 hours in that snapshot.
Open interest measures the value of outstanding positions, while trading volume measures the value traded during a particular period. Neither figure alone establishes how much liquidity is available at a specific price or guarantees that activity will continue to grow.
Still, the figures illustrate the scale of Hyperliquid’s markets linked to traditional assets. Their expansion gives traders access to a wider range of price exposures through the same derivatives infrastructure.
Altcoin Buzz also recently reported that Hyperliquid generated $63.94 million in 30-day HYPE buybacks. That coverage explored how eligible protocol revenue supports the Assistance Fund’s HYPE purchases, linking trading activity with the token’s economic model.
Elysium Layer-2 targets a November 9 launch
Another development in the Hyperliquid ecosystem is Elysium, a Layer-2 network being developed by Kinetiq. The project is designed to provide additional capacity for applications within the Hyperliquid ecosystem, with settlement on HyperEVM and HYPE used for transaction fees.
Kinetiq has announced plans for Elysium’s mainnet to launch on November 9, 2026. The testnet is already live, but the announced mainnet date remains a planned milestone rather than a completed launch.
Elysium is intended to support applications such as trading platforms, token launches, and automated market makers. If the network attracts activity after launch, it could add another source of utility for HYPE through its role as the gas token.
The actual effect will depend on the number of applications launched, user adoption, and transaction activity. The scheduled launch alone does not guarantee additional demand for HYPE.
What comes next for HYPE?
Hyperliquid’s latest burn figures, expanding HIP-3 markets, new trading integrations, and planned Layer-2 launch point to several developments taking place across its ecosystem.
The reported 49.87 million HYPE burn highlights the scale of tokens removed from supply, while daily fees and trading activity offer indicators of platform usage. Pump.fun’s integration and HIP-3’s growth show how Hyperliquid’s infrastructure is being used across more interfaces and asset classes.
However, token burns and rising activity do not guarantee price appreciation. HYPE’s future performance will also depend on market conditions, supply dynamics, trading demand, and whether the platform’s expanding products attract sustained usage.
For now, the key developments to watch are continued burn activity, HIP-3 market growth, adoption of Hyperliquid-powered trading integrations, and Elysium’s planned November 9 mainnet launch.
