The move comes as Robinhood adds Lighter perpetuals to its self-custody wallet for eligible users in selected jurisdictions.
Robinhood Wallet users can now access Lighter's decentralized perpetual futures markets directly through the wallet.
The trades themselves remain on Lighter. Robinhood Wallet acts as the interface through which users interact with Lighter's smart contracts.
The integration also includes a significant LIT incentive program. Lighter has committed 11 million LIT to a Robinhood community pool.
Eligible users can earn Lighter points from perpetual futures trading. Trades made through Robinhood Wallet receive 2x points, compared with 1x for trades through Lighter's web application.
The points can convert into LIT from the designated pool, subject to Lighter's terms.
The integration therefore gives Lighter another distribution channel while connecting trading activity directly with incentives around its native token.
LIT's recent move has been accompanied by consistently elevated trading volume.
CoinGecko data shows approximately $93.06 million in 24-hour volume. Historical daily figures were also close to $100 million, with volume reaching $99.56 million on September 17, $89.80 million on September 18, $100.05 million on September 19 and $96.35 million on September 20.
LIT currently has a circulating supply of about 250 million tokens, compared with a total and maximum supply of 1 billion.
This means the token is trading with a relatively small circulating supply compared with its maximum supply, making future token distribution an important metric to monitor.
Lighter is a decentralized derivatives exchange built as a zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum.
Its infrastructure uses cryptographic proofs for operations including order matching and liquidations. The platform also offers zero-fee trading for retail users.
