NEAR Price Holds Near $4.30 as Token Supply Vote and Ondo Partnership Shape Outlook
NEAR trades near $4.30 as bearish technical signals compete with a governance proposal to cut annual token issuance from 2.5% to 1.6%. An expanding Ondo partnership and NEAR Intents buybacks add to the token's fundamental outlook.

NEAR Protocol's native token is trading around $4.30 as bearish technical signals compete with two important developments: a governance proposal to reduce annual token issuance and an expanding partnership with Ondo Finance.
The token has faced selling pressure, with traders watching whether it can maintain support around $4.30. A deeper correction could bring the $4.00 and $3.60 areas into focus.
However, the market also has a potential tokenomics catalyst. NEAR's House of Stake is voting on a proposal to reduce maximum annual token issuance from 2.5% to 1.6% over two years. The vote is scheduled to close on November 2.
NEAR faces bearish technical pressure
NEAR has struggled to maintain its recent price levels, with short-term technical indicators pointing to continued weakness.
Recent chart data shows the token trading below several short-term moving averages. Its daily RSI has also moved into neutral-to-weak territory, while the MACD remains negative.
The $4.30 area is an important level to watch. If buyers defend it, NEAR could attempt another recovery toward the 4.40 - 4.50 resistance region.
However, a sustained breakdown could expose lower support levels around $4.00. The $3.60 area is another downside reference, close to the 100-day exponential moving average in recent technical readings.

Some market commentators have also identified the 3.75 - 4.00 range as a potential accumulation zone. However, these are market opinions rather than confirmed support levels, and a decline into that range is not guaranteed.
NEAR governance vote proposes a 36% issuance reduction
The biggest near-term catalyst is proposal HSP-029, which seeks to reduce NEAR's maximum annual token issuance from 2.5% to 1.6%.
The proposal would introduce the reduction gradually over 24 months, with the change applied across individual network epochs. The existing distribution split would remain unchanged, with 90% of issuance allocated to staking participants and 10% going to the treasury.
The House of Stake vote is scheduled to close on November 2 at 16:48 UTC.
If implemented, the change would reduce the rate at which new NEAR tokens enter circulation. This could benefit holders who do not stake because they would face slower dilution.
However, there is a trade-off. Lower issuance would also mean lower nominal staking rewards and potentially reduced validator income.
Approval would not immediately change the network's token economics. The proposal requires a separate protocol upgrade adopted by validators, followed by a 90-day grace period before the gradual reduction begins.
NEAR and Ondo expand access to tokenized US stocks
NEAR is also expanding its real-world asset ecosystem through its partnership with Ondo Finance.
On October 31, the two projects announced plans to make Ondo's tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds available through NEAR's 1Click Swap API.
The development builds on an earlier integration that brought tokenized assets to near.com and NEAR Intents. Eligible users can access products representing companies such as Nvidia, Tesla, and Apple, alongside tokenized ETFs.
The new API integration provides another route for users to access these assets through NEAR's cross-chain infrastructure.
This development supports NEAR's broader effort to connect cryptocurrency markets with traditional financial assets. However, increased access to tokenized stocks does not automatically translate into higher demand for the NEAR token. The longer-term impact will depend on platform usage, transaction activity, and the value captured by the protocol.
NEAR Intents buybacks add another tokenomics catalyst
The governance proposal comes as NEAR Intents increasingly contributes to the network's economic activity.
According to figures reported by Nansen, NEAR Intents has generated more than $52 million in cumulative fees, with over $8 million captured for token buybacks.

The platform processed approximately $10.4 billion in transaction volume during the third quarter of 2026.
These developments create an interesting combination for NEAR holders. The proposed issuance reduction could slow new token supply, while Intents-related buybacks could generate additional market demand.
However, fee capture should not be confused with completed token burns. The ultimate impact depends on how acquired tokens are held, staked, locked, or removed from circulation.
Can NEAR recover from here?
NEAR is facing two different market narratives.
In the short term, bearish technical indicators and the broader cryptocurrency market's volatility could keep pressure on the token. Traders will be watching whether $4.30 holds or whether the price moves toward $4.00 and potentially lower.
On the fundamental side, the proposed issuance reduction, growing NEAR Intents activity, buybacks, and Ondo integration provide reasons for investors to continue monitoring the ecosystem.
The November 2 governance vote is the immediate catalyst. If the proposal passes, it could mark an important change in NEAR's token economics, although validator approval and implementation would still be required.
For now, NEAR's ability to defend its support levels while advancing its tokenomics and real-world asset strategy will determine whether the current weakness becomes a deeper correction or an opportunity for a recovery.
