Jup Mobile Launches Universal Send on Solana

Sending crypto without having a wallet has been a dream for a long time. However, various solutions have seen the light of day already. Now, you can add the Jupiter mobile app to this. I launched Universal Send, which allows you to send crypto to anyone. The best part is, even if they don’t have a wallet.

So, what is Universal Send all about?

What Is Jupiter’s Universal Send?

As already mentioned, Universal Send allows you to send crypto to anyone. However, the best part is that they don’t even need to have a wallet. It works on the Jupiter Mobile app, and you can send any token in your wallet and any amount. You only need to pay gas fees. And as we know, these are very low cost on Solana. 

Universal Send allows you to send gifts to family, onboard friends, or even pay for goods. In contrast to other, similar P2P (peer to peer) apps, it allows you to send money anywhere in the world. Apps like Venmo, Wise, or Revolut all have restrictions for specific countries. Universal Send goes beyond that and opens the world for you. It does this with almost instant transactions.

There are various ways to use it. If you’re crypto savvy, you can send tokens or NFTs to other Solana wallets. But you could already do this with your Solana wallets, so that’s nothing new. However, there are other options. For example,

• You can send gifts via a link.
• Or, send money hidden in a QR code.

The Universal Send service is end-to-end, and it’s also noncustodial. So, there are no middlemen involved. Your Jupiter Mobile app also got an update. The history feature now also includes gifts, and QR codes that you created with Universal Send. That’s besides any other swaps, sends, and receives.

No Need for a Wallet

Here’s the best part. If you don’t have a wallet, you only need to download the app. This allows you to easily claim tokens from a link or a QR code. Only the sender pays gas fees. Jupiter set the gas fees to a minimum. You can even send non-Solana tokens with Gasless Support in Ultra v2. If the receiver declines the assets, the assets are sent back to the original wallet.
