Revolut Adds Solana to Boost Crypto Access

Revolut, the UK-based fintech super app with more than 40 million users worldwide, just added support for the Solana network.

Revolut Adds Solana to Boost Crypto Access

This brings a fast-growing crypto network to a platform that mixes banking and digital assets.

By integrating Solana, Revolut is giving users access to a network built for speed, low fees, and smart contract functionality — the tools that power decentralized apps and digital finance.

Why Solana and Why Now

Solana has seen rapid growth in the past year. Known for its high-speed, low-cost transactions, it supports everything from NFTs and decentralized finance (DeFi) to new consumer apps. According to data from Messari, Solana’s daily active users more than doubled in early 2025, and it now ranks among the top blockchain networks by usage.

Adding Solana is a strategic move for Revolut. It gives users a faster way to transfer assets, interact with tokens, and explore Web3 without leaving the app. For example, someone using Revolut could send SOL — Solana’s native token — to a wallet or a friend in seconds, paying only a fraction of a penny in fees.

It also comes as a growing number of fintech firms are looking beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. In recent months, companies like Robinhood and Stripe have rolled out support for Solana-based tokens, driven by user demand and developer activity.

Fintech Meets the Future of Finance

Revolut is no stranger to crypto. The app already lets users buy, sell, and hold dozens of tokens. But its expansion into layer-1 blockchains like Solana suggests a bigger shift. It is not just about trading anymore. It is about connecting users to real blockchain ecosystems — ones that support gaming, digital identity, payments, and more.

This trend mirrors what we are seeing in financial services as a whole. Traditional platforms are embracing crypto not just as an asset class, but as a foundation for building new experiences. Whether it is cashback in crypto, cross-border payments, or access to DeFi tools, the line between banking and blockchain is starting to blur.
