Robinhood Chain recorded a record $6 million in daily fees on September 4 as activity on the network surged, with the memecoin launchpad Pons emerging as the main driver.
The chain generated roughly $25 million in fees over seven days, up from just $1.4 million the previous week, a nearly 17-fold increase. Weekly decentralized exchange (DEX) volume also more than doubled to approximately $12.4 billion.

Pons Becomes Robinhood Chain's Fee Engine
Pons, a token launchpad on Robinhood Chain, generated nearly $6 million in fees on September 3, briefly earning more than major crypto platforms including Pump.fun and Hyperliquid. Almost 25,000 tokens were launched through Pons on September 2, while its daily trading volume reached about $544 million.
Since launching in July, Pons has produced roughly 646,000 tokens from more than 167,000 creator addresses, turning token creation and subsequent trading into a major source of activity for Robinhood Chain.
The launchpad's model also creates a direct link between trading activity and PONS token demand. Pons says its protocol share of trading fees is used for PONS buybacks and burns, while on-chain tracking shows roughly 29% of the original PONS supply has already been burned.

Volume Is Rising Faster Than User Activity
The fee surge is particularly notable because Robinhood Chain's average daily active accounts fell to around 396,000 during the week.
That suggests the increase was driven less by a surge in users and more by higher trading activity from existing users. Fees generated per active account rose from around $0.13 in mid August to approximately $15.90 by early September.
However, the trend also highlights the risk of relying heavily on launchpad activity. Pons' fee generation ultimately depends on the number of tokens being launched and the trading volume those tokens attract. A slowdown in new launches or speculative demand could therefore quickly reduce Robinhood Chain's fee revenue.
For now, Pons has turned memecoin trading into a major growth engine for Robinhood Chain, pushing the network's fees and DEX activity to new highs just weeks after its mainnet launch.
