Solana Records 3.3 Billion Successful Transactions in October, Sixth Monthly Record
Solana processed 3.3 billion successful non-vote transactions in October, setting its sixth consecutive monthly record. Growing DeFi, trading and stablecoin activity continue to support network usage.

Solana processed approximately 3.3 billion successful transactions in October 2026, setting a new monthly record for the sixth consecutive month. The figure highlights the network's growing activity across trading, payments and other onchain applications.
The network averaged around 109 million successful transactions per day during October. This was higher than the 3.18 billion recorded in September and the 2.93 billion processed in August.
The figures cover successful non-vote transactions. They exclude validator votes, which help the network reach consensus, and failed transactions that do not complete.
Solana's Transaction Activity Keeps Rising
October continued a steady increase in completed network activity.
Solana recorded approximately 2.93 billion successful non-vote transactions in August. That number increased to 3.18 billion in September before reaching 3.3 billion in October.
The latest result represents an increase of around 3.8% from September and 12.6% from August.
The network's third-quarter activity had already reached a record. Data from Solana Compass placed completed non-vote transactions at 8.78 billion during Q3, up 23.3% from Q2.
October's result extends that trend into the fourth quarter.
What Is Driving Solana's Network Activity?
Several developments are supporting Solana's growing transaction volume.
One factor is the network's technical capacity. Solana has been working on faster block production and higher compute limits, allowing applications to process more activity within each block.
The network has also attracted substantial decentralized exchange activity. Traders use Solana-based platforms for token swaps, perpetual futures and other financial products.
Stablecoins are another important part of the ecosystem. They allow users to transfer dollar-linked assets, settle trades and move funds between applications without relying entirely on traditional payment systems.
Solana's September data provides an example. The network recorded 557 million stablecoin transfers during the month, a 33% increase from August, according to figures shared by Solana and attributed to Blockworks.
That activity suggests the network is being used for more than speculative token trading. Payments and stablecoin transfers are also contributing to its transaction count.
Why Successful Transactions Matter
Raw transaction totals can give an incomplete picture of blockchain activity.
Solana validators regularly submit vote transactions to coordinate and agree on the network's state. These are necessary for consensus, but they do not represent the same type of activity as a user transferring tokens or trading on a decentralized exchange.
Removing validator votes provides a clearer view of application-level activity.
Excluding failed transactions makes the measure stricter still. It focuses on transactions that successfully execute rather than attempts that are reverted.
However, a successful transaction does not necessarily represent a new user or meaningful economic activity. Automated trading systems, arbitrage bots and high-frequency strategies can generate large numbers of transactions.
This is particularly relevant for Solana, where trading activity can be intense. A rising transaction count should therefore be considered alongside other indicators, including active users, transaction fees, stablecoin transfers and decentralized exchange volume.
What the Record Means for Solana
The October figure strengthens the case that Solana can handle substantial application-level activity. Six consecutive monthly records also suggest that the increase is not limited to a single period of unusually high network usage.
The growth of stablecoin transfers and decentralized finance adds context to the transaction numbers. These activities show how different applications are using the network.
Still, higher transaction volume does not automatically translate into higher SOL demand or a stronger token price. The economic impact depends on the type of activity, the fees generated and how much value users and applications bring to the ecosystem.
For now, Solana's 3.3 billion successful transactions provide another measure of its operating scale.
