We often recommend mid-cap (less than 1 billion market value) because there’s room for growth. For this article, we’ll look at top mid-cap tokens in the AI crypto sector.

And we recommend getting good coins in AI. Like RWA, AI is the future of crypto. Experts predict that AI-related tokens could skyrocket in the next 3 years. We’ve seen a trend of AI projects embracing blockchain.
AI has proven really useful in blockchain. For example, AI crypto prediction tools are becoming very popular in crypto protocols, providing real-time price forecasting. And sometimes making sentiment analysis based on social media. This helps everyday users make smarter decisions about their money. AI is pretty useful in smart contract automation and DeFi.
Although new, the AI crypto market has grown significantly. For example, AI crypto tokens surged by over 400% in February 2025, pushing the general market cap to $39 billion. AI crypto tokens like Livepeer (LPT) and Arkham (ARKM) have seen significant returns since their launch. The TAO token from Bittensor surged over 140% in 2024 alone.
The average market cap of AI tokens listed on crypto exchange Bitget surged by 77% from January to February 2024. And lots of great projects have given back some of these big gains in 2025 so far. That means better entry points for investment now. All of these point to one thing: the AI crypto market has serious potential. And if you want long-term growth, it’s best to pay attention here. Let’s check out some serious low and mid caps that we think have good potential in this sector.
The first on the list is DeXe. DeXe is a decentralized governance protocol focused on improving transparency. The whole idea is to make AI ownership transparent and collective. They are creating an environment where humans and AI agents can work together via decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).
Why do we like DeXe?
DeXe has raised $1.9 million across two funding rounds, including its ICO and token launch. Most importantly, the community is a huge part of this project. There are several ongoing community campaigns, DAO talks, and potential new partnerships.
The $DEXE token currently trades at $8.45. Its current all-time high is $33.54, which it hit on March 8, 2021 (down about 74% from ATH.) While that’s a huge margin, it leaves room for growth. Under the right conditions, this project could do an easy 10x.
Why Watch Out for DeXe?
Kaito.ai is a decentralized platform that aggregates and indexes AI research, datasets, and knowledge assets. The goal is to make it easy for developers, organizations, and researchers to access AI resources. It uses blockchain to reward contributions.

Why do we like Kaito?
Kaito currently trades at $1.38, with a market cap of $332,874,022. That’s massive room for growth. Kaito Yaps are one of the biggest topics on crypto Twitter right now. So there’s good attention and visibility, which can lead to growth. Yaps are a reward system for creators who contribute to crypto conversations.
Analysts predict that Kaito could end 2025 around the $3 region. Long-term projections are around the $12-$15 range, depending on market conditions. Regardless, Kaito has serious growth potential.
AIOZ Network is a decentralized content delivery and media streaming platform powered by AI and blockchain. It relies on distributed nodes to deliver faster, more efficient streaming and file storage. The idea is to disrupt traditional content delivery networks (CDNs). AIOZ uses AI to optimize routing and content recommendations.
Why do we like AIOZ Network?
AIOZ currently has a market cap of $369,317,600. Its ATH of $2.65 came in April 2021. While the current price is a far stretch from the ATH, there’s potential for a major comeback.
Beyond being in AI, AIOZ is also part of the DePIN movement. AIOZ’s decentralized streaming and storage platform positions it well to capitalize on this trend. Plus, AIOZ has real utility. And that’s a huge selling point. Crypto projects with real-world utility are in high demand.
There’s also massive innovation going on. The launch of W3Stream, a decentralized video hosting and streaming platform, will boost utility and user adoption. This could potentially drive token demand.
