Ether, XRP ETF Inflow Streaks End as Bitcoin Funds Rebound

Ether and XRP ETFs ended their long inflow streaks on Wednesday, while Bitcoin ETFs attracted $101.2 million as crypto prices came under pressure.

US listed spot Ether and XRP ETFs saw their first net outflows in nearly two weeks on Wednesday, ending prolonged inflow streaks as Bitcoin funds returned to positive territory.

Spot Ether ETFs recorded $48 million in net outflows, ending a 12-session inflow streak that had brought in approximately $1.62 billion.

XRP ETFs also reversed course, posting $7.2 million in outflows after 11 consecutive sessions of inflows. Meanwhile, spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $101.2 million, recovering from $236.5 million in outflows the previous day.

Ether ETF Inflows Reverse After $1.62B Streak

Ether ETFs experienced their first outflow after 12 consecutive trading days of positive flows.

The streak had generated approximately $1.62 billion in net inflows, highlighting strong institutional demand for ETH.

BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) recorded the largest outflow at $53.4 million. Fidelity's Ethereum Fund (FETH) saw $26.2 million leave the fund, while Grayscale's Ethereum Staking ETF (ETHE) posted $23.5 million in outflows.

BlackRock's staked Ether ETF (ETHB) provided some support with approximately $53 million in inflows.

The reversal comes as Ether faces renewed price pressure after its strong recent performance.

XRP ETFs End 11-Day Inflow Run

XRP ETFs also experienced a shift in investor flows.

Spot XRP ETFs recorded $7.2 million in net outflows, ending an 11-session streak that had attracted approximately $170 million.

The latest outflows leave cumulative XRP ETF inflows at roughly $1.68 billion.

The reversal suggests that ETF demand for XRP has cooled temporarily after a sustained period of institutional buying.

Bitcoin ETFs Rebound With $101M Inflows

Bitcoin ETFs moved in the opposite direction.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $101.2 million on Wednesday, reversing the previous day's $236.5 million in net outflows.

The divergence is notable because all three major assets have faced recent price weakness. However, Bitcoin's ETF market showed renewed demand while Ether and XRP funds experienced withdrawals.

The latest flows could indicate that investors are temporarily favoring Bitcoin exposure amid broader cryptocurrency market volatility.

Crypto Prices Face Pressure

ETF flow reversals came as major cryptocurrencies declined over the past week.

According to the figures provided, Ether fell 3.4% over seven days, making it the weakest performer among the three assets. XRP declined 2.4%, while Bitcoin fell 1.3%.

At the time of publication:

  • Bitcoin: $77,744
  • Ether: $2,407
  • XRP: $1.36

The combination of weaker prices and changing ETF flows suggests investors are becoming more selective rather than abandoning crypto exposure altogether.

What the ETF Flows Mean for ETH, XRP and BTC

The end of the Ether and XRP ETF inflow streaks is significant, but a single day of outflows does not necessarily signal a lasting reversal.

Ether had attracted $1.62 billion during its 12-session streak, while XRP ETFs accumulated approximately $170 million over 11 sessions. Those inflows demonstrate that demand remained strong before Wednesday's reversal.

Bitcoin's return to positive flows could also prove temporary.

For now, the key trend to watch is whether ETH and XRP ETFs resume inflows in the coming sessions and whether Bitcoin can maintain its latest positive flow.

The latest ETF data points to a short-term shift in crypto investment flows, with Bitcoin regaining demand as Ether and XRP take a breather.
