Pornhub Now Accepts BNB, CZ Announces

Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao commonly referred to as “CZ” has announced his decision to purchase a year worth of premium pornhub subscription from the adult entertainment website with BNB.

The top crypto exchange boss disclosed this move via a tweet from his official Twitter handle saying, “Fk it, I am buying a year of premium porn subscription just for the cause, nothing personal, of course. YOLO. Smiling face with open mouth and tightly-closed.”

CZ made this statement in light of a new partnership with the adult entertainment website, which would enable Pornhub to accept Binance token (BNB) as a medium of payment on its platform.

Notably, Binance’s BNB will be joining other digital currency already accepted as a medium of payment on the adult entertainment site. Prior to BNB addition, Pornhub has added support for some privacy coins, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Monero (XRM) and Zcash.

In addition to enabling subscribers use BNB to pay for premium content on adult entertainment site. The collaboration will also increase the use cases of Binance coin.

CZ broadening BNB use cases

According to Binance CEO, the new development is in line with the largest crypto exchange mission to broaden its scope and expand the use cases of BNB.

He noted that the new Pornhub addition was “just simply exploring a little more.” Adding that it marks the achievement of Binance first 2021 realization for the BNB use cases.

Reacting to CZ tweet, Axel BitBlaze and several other Twitter users noted that CZ was giving free publicity to the adult entertainment site. However, the Binance was quick to clear the assumption noting that the partnership was a “Win-Win” situation for both parties involved.

It is worth noting that Pornhub is one of the world’s most visited websites, with over 3.6 billion visitors monthly. This will notably help the crypto firm reach more users, invariably expanding the applications for BNB.

Also, Joshua Adewuni via his Twitter handle lauded the new development noting that “$BNB has been the most liquid token to me. It is better for transactions due to its relatively lower volatility.”

Similarly, Ismael Jerusalem via his Twitter handle use the opportunity to call for more adoption of blockchain and digital currency. “Porn industry needs to get themselves into Blockchain. There are lots of porn supply on the internet, they have to make it scarce to make it more valuable,” he tweeted.

Other crypto added on Pornhb

In addition to Binance’s BNB, Pornhub has also recently added support for other cryptocurrencies namely, DOGE, USDC, and XRP.

The newly added digital currencies are now available as a means of payment for premium adult content on Pornhub.

Notably, Pornhub started listing digital currencies as a means of payment, after top payment firms Such as Visa, PayPal and Mastercard cut ties with the adult content platform. Currently, Pornhub accepts 16 digital currencies as payment options.

BNB Price

As of press time, BNB was trading at $41.29, with a 24-hour trading volume of $560,234,206 and market cap of $6,102,231,879. BNB price also dropped by 1.1% over the last 24 hours. It has a circulating supply of 147,883,948/179,883,948 coins.
