Devcon 7 in Bangkok, Thailand is at the halfway point. Day 3 out of 4 has started. Today is another busy day with various events in my schedule. Tomorrow will already be the last day.
However, side events will keep going on over the weekend and into next week. Here’s a lowdown of my third day at Devcon 7 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Garden Run
The day started with the Garden Run organized by Garden Finance. They have a running group and organize runs during conferences. For example, you can join their Strava group. It’s open to all crypto runners. Another early start and a great way to start the day.
After the run, it was back to the hotel room, for a shower, some early morning work, and off to the first event of the day.
ZK Morning Coffee
This was a great opportunity to network and meet people. Combine that with healthy food, coffee, and fresh juices, and you have a perfect start to the day. Great sourdough sandwiches and carrot cake for breakfast, whilst discussing crypto.
Gevolut organized this breakfast talk. They are ZK-oriented GPU cloud solutions for B2B. They recently launched a Firestarter network. That’s a scalable proving solution.
As you can imagine, the atmosphere is buzzing. Especially considering that $BTC hit $93k last night. It’s like when the first big shopping mall opens in a city. The whole city walks around with a big smile on their face. It’s the same here at Devcon 7. Everybody walks around with a big smile on his or her face. Now it’s off to another ZK event, organized by Phenix.
Encryption Day: ZK, FHE, & MPC
Here’s another great event, smack in the middle of downtown Bangkok. The third event of the day was all about ZK tech. That’s zero-knowledge tech. It allows you to proof information, without revealing the actual data. Fhenix was the host of this event. It attracted a lot of developers, which should not come as a surprise.
Besides a networking opportunity, there were also presentations. However, they were quite technical, more something for the geeks among us. You can see yourself in the picture below.
Real World Assets Get Real in Bangkok
RWA was the theme of today’s last event. Organized by Defactor, it offered a rooftop environment. This kind of setup worked great the previous two days. However, this evening we experienced a short but intense shower.
