XRP ETF Inflows Hold Firm as Bitcoin and Ethereum Funds See Outflows

XRP ETFs attracted $1.55 million on September 8 as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana funds recorded outflows, highlighting a growing divergence in institutional crypto demand.

US-listed XRP ETFs attracted $1.55 million in net inflows on September 8, outperforming most major spot crypto fund groups as Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded significant outflows.

According to SoSoValue data, XRP ETFs posted the largest daily inflow among 12 spot crypto ETF categories. Hedera (HBAR) products were the only other group to record positive flows, attracting $431,180.

The divergence comes as institutional demand becomes more selective across the crypto ETF market. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana funds all recorded outflows on the same day for the first time since July 9.

XRP ETFs stand out as major crypto funds reverse

XRP ETFs attracted $1.55 million on September 8, with Franklin Templeton's XRPZ accounting for the entire inflow. Bitwise, Canary, 21Shares and Grayscale's XRP products recorded no flows.

By comparison, US spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $46.65 million, while Ethereum ETFs saw $24.29 million leave their funds. Solana products recorded $667,719 in outflows.

Hyperliquid ETFs also lost $12.96 million, more than wiping out the $10.52 million they attracted on September 4.

Altogether, the four groups accounted for $84.56 million in net outflows.

The latest move follows a broader slowdown in crypto ETF demand. Bitcoin ETFs recently attracted $986.9 million over the week ending September 4, extending their positive streak to three weeks, but the latest daily figures show that institutional flows can still shift quickly.

XRP maintains positive September flows

Despite the relatively small daily inflow, XRP's monthly performance remains notable.

XRP ETFs have attracted $14.86 million so far in September, putting them ahead of Solana products, which have recorded $4.58 million in inflows.

Bitcoin remains well ahead with a $723.5 million monthly gain, while Ethereum ETFs have attracted $106.43 million.

XRP Price Chart September 10

The figures show that XRP continues to maintain positive institutional demand even as broader altcoin ETF activity has weakened.

That trend also follows earlier signs of growing institutional interest in XRP investment products. Previous XRP ETF coverage highlighted the divergence between continued ETF demand and relatively subdued XRP price action.

XRP price leads ETF gainers

The ETF flow divergence has also coincided with stronger price performance among some of the assets attracting fresh capital.

XRP has gained roughly 7% over the past seven days, while Hedera has risen 7.4%. Bitcoin is up about 2.2% over the same period.

XRP was trading near $1.44 on Tuesday, up 4.06% over 24 hours. Hyperliquid gained 3.3% to $86.77, while Solana rose 2.03%.

The move gives XRP another positive signal after the token's recent recovery from its August weakness.

Institutional demand is becoming more selective

The latest ETF data does not necessarily indicate that investors are abandoning Bitcoin or Ethereum. Instead, it points to a more selective market where capital is moving between crypto assets rather than flowing uniformly across the sector.

Bitcoin still dominates monthly ETF inflows, while Ethereum remains comfortably positive for September. XRP's ability to attract capital on a day when Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana all posted outflows is nevertheless notable.

For XRP, continued ETF inflows could provide an additional source of institutional demand if the trend persists. At the same time, the relatively small size of the daily inflow means a few sessions are not enough to establish a long-term trend.

For now, XRP is standing out as one of the few major crypto assets attracting ETF money while several larger funds experience renewed selling pressure.
