PumpFun Enables Creator Fee Redirection for Abandoned Coins

The platform recently launched a system called Creator Fees for Community Takeovers (CTO). This allows eligible communities to redirect creator fees to new leaders who have kept the project alive. This new feature empowers communities to take control of abandoned tokens and reward those actively supporting the project.

Who Qualifies for Creator Fee Redirection?

To be eligible for redirecting creator fees, projects must still be operating on PumpSwap’s bonding curve or have migrated to PumpSwap. Unfortunately, projects that moved to Raydium before March 20th, 2025, are not eligible because PumpFun cannot control those smart contracts.

What determines a valid community takeover leader? Simply put, there must be clear and undeniable proof that the community would not survive without the CTO lead or leads. If there is any dispute or conflict over who deserves the fees, the redirection will not happen. PumpFun emphasizes they will not intervene in disagreements, meaning only cases with transparent, undisputed leadership will qualify. Fake CTO claims are strictly rejected.
