Telegram Opens New Earnings with TON Blockchain
This new staking service works as a widget integrated with all TON Connect-compatible wallets. It allows users to stake a minimum of 10 TON tokens and earn an annual percentage yield (APY) of 4.7%. What makes this offering stand out is the automatic distribution of staked funds across the TON network’s validators. It removes the need for complex setups or intermediaries.
Staking means locking up your cryptocurrency to help maintain a blockchain network, in return for rewards. But until now, staking could be complicated or costly for everyday users. P2P.org, a non-custodial staking provider, and Ton Whales, part of TON’s core development team, want to change that. Their joint solution offers a secure, straightforward way for Telegram users to participate in staking without needing technical know-how.
This ease of use, combined with institutional-level safety, is designed to attract not just casual users but also exchanges and custodians looking for reliable staking solutions. P2P.org’s Chief Revenue Officer, Alex Lotkev, said the goal is to build a bridge between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi), enabling sustainable rewards with minimal risk.
The Open Network itself is a fast-growing ecosystem. It currently supports over 156 million active wallets, with more than $2 billion staked across the network. This makes it one of the more widely used blockchain platforms globally, especially as it remains the only blockchain officially integrated within Telegram apps.
