Altcoin leaders

Leaders in various sectors in crypto are there for a reason. Early projects have an advantage, sure, but early doesn’t guarantee leadership. Check out liquid staking tokens. Wrapped ETH for use in DeFi started in late 2017. Wrapped Bitcoin started in 2019. And who’s first? Lido’s Wrapped Staked Ethereum from its successful liquid staking platform. It started in February 2021. Even with a 4-year head start, wETH has a market cap of $7.6 billion while wstETH has a market cap of $10.8 billion, almost 50% higher.

So while being early helps, being the best helps more. And today, we look at some emerging sector leaders. And not in AI and DePIN like many are doing. In other important but less visible sectors. Let’s talk altcoin leaders.

Chainlink ($LINK)

First up with the altcoin leaders, we have Chainlink ($LINK). Think of it as the bridge between the real and blockchain worlds. Chainlink does this through its decentralized oracles. Oracles bring real-world data to smart contracts on the blockchain. And Oracles is the sector where they lead.

So, how does it work? At the heart of Chainlink are their Data Feeds and the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). These allow developers to build blockchain apps that are secure, reliable, and interoperable.

In other words, Chainlink makes sure that the data your favorite DeFi project or NFT platform is using are accurate and tamper-proof.

Why is this important? Well, in the crypto world, data is gold—especially accurate data. Without Chainlink, smart contracts can’t access real-world info like prices or weather conditions. This makes it impossible to run decentralized apps properly.

Here’s why Chainlink is a big deal. Their data comes in handy whether it’s finance, supply chain management, or even gaming. If you need data, you need Chainlink.

Chainlink’s CCIP recently got integrated with ZKSync, a layer-2 scaling solution. ZKSync developers can now build apps across multiple chains.

In terms of growth potential, the demand for oracles is only increasing as more decentralized apps are developed.

Chainlink’s already partnered with industry giants like

  • Oracle,
  • Swift,
  • Google

This shows that even traditional companies trust them. Plus, it’s blockchain-agnostic. This means whether you’re on Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain, Chainlink has your back.

So, if you’re not holding $LINK yet, you might want to rethink that—this is a project with serious staying power.

Ctrl ($CTRL)

Next up in altcoin leaders is Ctrl Wallet, which was formerly known as XDEFI. So why the name change? It’s all part of their plans to be the main self-custody wallet for the next 100 million users. They want to make it easy for anybody, anywhere to get into crypto. Their wallet is easy to use, and you can manage all your crypto affairs in one place. So it’s not just for DeFi lovers. They are en emerging leader in general-purpose wallets.

We like that they are solving one of the biggest problems in crypto. I’m talking about the difficulty of getting that one wallet that;

  • connects to any decentralized app, on any blockchain,
  • allows easy swaps

Regular traders and airdrop hunters know what I’m talking about. The problem of juggling multiple wallets and networks.

Ctrl Features

But Ctrl solves this in the easiest way possible. Their wallet service allows you to connect to over 1,800 dapps across multiple networks. The best part is that there’s no seed phrases needed. Ctrl uses social login for secure access via Google or social media accounts.

Some of the features you can access on this wallet includes:

  1. Portfolio tracking. You can keep an eye on all your crypto holdings in one place.
  2. Hardware support: It allows you to use a Ledger or Trezor for added security.
  3. Malicious activity alerts: It provides notifications that warn you of any suspicious activity.
  4. Privacy: Ctrl doesn’t track your IP address—because who wants that?

Another reason we like this wallet is its wide coverage. Ctrl supports multiple ecosystems, not just one or two like other wallets.

While other wallets like MetaMask stick mainly to Ethereum or Phantom to Solana, Ctrl supports Bitcoin, Cosmos, EVM, and more. This makes your life easier. Check the video of the X post below.

Ctrl Updates

There have been a lot of updates in this project. First, they’ve rebranded their token from $XDEFI to $CTRL. They plan to trade their new token on chains with the most volume.

Next, they recently launched their mobile wallet beta. And it’s one of the most user-friendly wallets in the market. Check this out: over 21,000 people signed up to test out its new features. In fact, Ctrl had to launch an exclusive Chads Community Program to cater to its most dedicated users.

Like I said earlier, the wallet offers an all-in-one portfolio view. You can track over 50 wallets. And monitor all the lesser known coins in your portfolio.

The new Ctrl wallet also allows you to pay all gas fees in the same currency across different networks. That means you can use your $USDT or $USDC across different chains. Wave goodbye to getting those little tokens just for gas.

For those interested in trying this wallet, I’ll drop the link to sign up in the description below.

Who’s behind them?

We are not the only ones who think Ctrl is a big deal. Their list of partners include guys like,

  • MrBeast
  • Mechanism Capital
  • CoinGecko
  • Sandeep Nailwal (Polygon)
  • Erik Voorhees (ShapeShift)

Ctrl is the future of crypto. And now’s the best time to get onboard.

Edu3Labs ($NFE)

If you looked at this chart, you’d probably be wondering how a project with an under $1 million market cap is an emerging sector leader. But it is. Edu3Labs is one of the altcoin leaders.

This is Edu3Labs. They are the Udemy of Web3. Now as the Udemy of Web3, you’d expect lots of courses in different areas from coding to photography to foreign languages.

And you’d be right.

Edu3Labs has made 3 big, smart moves to put themselves in this leadership position. They are,

  1. Partner w Open Campus
  2. AI-assist to customize courses
  3. Gamify learning and take that to Telegram.

Now the details.

Open Campus

Open Campus is the largest and most dominant player in Web3 online education. Their focus is K-12 school curriculum-type education. Edu3Labs does not do this. This would be like comparing Khan Academy, who focuses on school-style learning vs Udemy. Both involve learning, but are different for different markets. Thus, Open Campus and Edu3Labs partner with each other instead of compete.

AI-Assist

Lots of projects like to say they are using AI. We know. We’ve heard it endlessly, just like you have. But the AI University at Edu3Labs is the real deal.

It adds personalization and customization to your learning experience. If you and I are both taking a Photography course, some lessons are the same. But later your lessons will be customized to help you in the areas where you need the most help, and mine will be customized for me in the same way. This is a super smart use of AI to help people.

Gamify Learning and Taking it to Telegram

Telegram and its TON Network have the chance to be the biggest onramp to Web3 in the industry.

So it’s smart that Edu3Labs would go there. Their first of 7 games, Trivio, is now live on TG. It’s a great way to learn about crypto, and you can see some of the questions like,

  • What is blockchain?
  • Who was Bitcoin’s founder?

And others that are good at helping get the foundational knowledge to help you be successful in the industry.

So Edu3Labs, despite its small market cap, is making all the right moves to lead in Web3 online education. It sure belongs in this list of altcoin leaders.

xRaise Wallet

Our final altcoin leaders project today is xRaise, a smart wallet built on zkSync, designed with gamers in mind. So what makes this wallet “smart”? One word: convenience. Let’s break it down.

First, xRaise introduces Session Keys. This game-changing feature allows you to pre-sign transactions for your gaming session. With this, gamers no longer have to pause their fun to sign transactions. You get to focus on your business.

The sector where they are leading here is very niche. Gaming wallets. An important and growing sector if you believe in gaming.

But that’s not all. With xRaise’s Paymaster feature, you’re not limited to paying gas fees in the native token of the network. Gamers and developers love this because it means you can use tokens like USDC, USDT, or DAI to cover fees, instead of hunting down BNB or another specific token just to play. This feature is another strong argument for convenience.

Another standout feature is Account Abstraction, which is great not just for gamers, but for everyone. Gamers, however, benefit hugely. Thanks to this feature, gamers do not need multiple wallets for different games, DeFi transactions, or payments. With Account Abstraction, you get sub-wallets within your main wallet, so each game can only access the assets meant for it.

xRaise is changing the game for both players and developers. It provides the right infrastructure for the gaming market to thrive. Web3 gaming is where the future’s headed, xRaise is a good way to secure the fun.

That’s it for today’s video. Tell me what you think of these altcoin leaders projects.
