1 – Crypto.com Introduces Cronos EVM Chain to Scale DeFi

Crypto.com has announced the introduction of its new testnet for Cronos. As per the tweet, Cronos is the EVM chain running in parallel to the Crypto.org Chain. Further, this testnet strives to scale the DeFi ecosystem while ensuring the portability of applications from Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.

Notably, Cronos is powered by Ethermint. Besides this, the base settlement currency for Cronos will remain CRO, which is the native currency of the Crypto.org Chain. In addition, the testnet would also utilize a more streamlined and scalable consensus mechanism called Proof of Authority (POA).

The Cronos testnet will also utilize an Inter Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, which enables interoperability and bridging to the Crypto.org Chain with decentralized, open-sourced energy efficiency, high speed, and lower transaction fee features. Additionally, this testnet received funding from Particle B, and it has access to over 10 million users on the Crypto.com ecosystem.

2 – Blockchain-Based Gaming Platform Enjin Becomes Member of the UN Global Compact

Blockchain-based gaming platform Enjin has become a member of the United Nations Global Compact. With this membership, Enjin becomes the first-ever blockchain gaming and NFT firm to become a member of the UN Global Compact.

Notably, the UN Global Compact is an initiative to protect human rights, labor rights, and general environmental sustainability. Along with this, it is also focused on preventing all kinds of corruption. Effectively, the team would work together in improving people’s lives utilizing blockchain technology.

3 – Polygon Launches Blockchain Gaming and NFT Studio

Ethereum scaling solution Polygon has announced the launch of Polygon Studios. As per the tweet, this is a new gaming and NFT studio arm of Polygon. This studio aims to help developers in creating and marketing decentralized games.

As stated, this launch will support the blockchain game developers with its infrastructure. Additionally, the team would also help brands and intellectual property owners launch customized digital collectibles and marketplaces. Notably, the studio will also serve as a bridge between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0.

4 – Zilliqa | Unmarshal Partnership to Create Smart Notification Infrastructure

Unmarshal announced it has received a grant from ZILHive to build smart notification infrastructure. The team will utilize this grant to build a modern infrastructure layer for applications on Zilliqa Chain to notify their users.

Unmarshal is a multi-chain DeFi data network that aims to deliver secure and real-time data to dApps. Hence, Unmarshal Smart Notification will provide users the most updated information such as wallet transaction updates, trending crypto pairs, price variations, wallet balance updates, and more. 5 – Tyson Fury NFT ‘Lineal’ Sold on HoDooi.com for Almost $1 Million

In the last bit of crypto news for today, we have HoDooi.com announcing the sale of one of the most expensive sports NFTs. Moreover, this unique NFT, called “Lineal by Tyson Fury,” sold at auction for $987,000.

HoDooi.com allows users to create, buy, sell, and re-sell NFTs within its multi-chain ecosystem. It is powered by the HOD token. Additionally, the buyer will also receive a painting of this artwork, which is signed by Tyson Fury, along with a signed boxing glove and a video from Fury.
