The new Crypto.com NFT platform went live on March 26, 2021. The non-fungible token platform involves content from popular artists, athletes, sports, and musicians.
In the initial announcement, it was noted that the new Crypto.com NFT platform has been able to partner and involve an “A-list roster of mainstream and digital artists collaborating to release new and unique work for its invite-only platform.” These artists include Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One, Axel Mansoor (the King of The Clubhouse), Bag Raiders, and BossLogic. Other notable artists include Boy George, Jonathan Monaghan with Nathan Evans (of #1 single Sea Shanty “Wellerman” fame), KCamp, Klarens Malluta with Lionel Richie, KLOUD, Mr. Brainwash, OPUS, and Snoop Dogg.
Features of the New Platform
Designated Crypto.com/NFT, the platform basically makes it possible for collectors or fans to buy, trade, or sell NFTs, irrespective of if they are Crypto.com users or not. But, Crypto.com users have been given the opportunity to pay for NFTs using the Pay feature of the app. Crypto Pay will also be available for users to make purchases, allowing them to pay with over 20 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more.
Besides, the platform has been set up to create the “most user-friendly buying experience.” It will also have a 1-click buy option using either a credit or debit card.
Upcoming artists have not been left out. Interested artists can inquire about listing their works with Crypto.com/NFT on the website.
Notably, Joe Conyers III has been appointed as Crypto.com’s EVP, Global Head of NFTs. Concerning the new platform, Conyers said, “I am thrilled to work with remarkable talent around the world and partner with them to shape the future of this new creative medium. We will be looking out for creators and curators with a bold vision who are working to push the boundaries of the medium. They will also bring more collectors into space.”
Can There Be High Expectations?
It’s important to note that most of the newly partnered artists have expressed their optimism concerning the new platform.

BossLogic has fans around the globe for his artwork for major companies like Marvel and Disney+, not to mention his own creations. He has been highly successful in the NFT art sphere, selling $3.6 million of such art in February 2021 alone. His “Higher Ground” collection was selected to herald the launch of the Crypto.com NFT platform. By 2:15 pm, his collection had already sold out.
As for his collaboration with the NFT platform, he said, “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with Crypto.com. Having been an avid user of their platform it’s kind of surreal I got to be part of their next step into the new era of art and NFT’s. Stay tuned for my exclusive drop and some major collaborations.”
Boy George, who initially made waves as the lead singer of Culture Club before going on to a successful solo career, is mixing his iconic songs with paintings he has created over the years. Boy George says, “I think life turned me into art. My role models were both artistic types and hard working types. I’ve painted myself and others. I have painted myself into a corner.”
He adds, “I love metaphors and mystery and crypto sound like klepto so that makes me a crypto maniac. Art is like a partner? Can you live with it? Digital art is a new emotion and it can be very musical. I’m mixing all of the things I do together, music, art, fashion, poetry and anything else it leads to. I have stopped refusing to be influenced.”
