The global cryptocurrency market continues to show bearish tendencies. Bitcoin is down by 9.6% over the last 7 days and is currently trading at $38,186. Ethereum is also down by over 10% in the last seven days and is trading at $2,621.

To keep our readers informed, we have compiled some of the top upcoming crypto events expected to take place this week. These top upcoming crypto events include Travala airdrop 3 and TOYO IGO coming soon to Seedify.

1. Travala (AVA) Airdrop 3

Top blockchain-based travel booking platform Travala is currently carrying out a series of airdrops. The snapshot of the airdrop took place on February 18, 2022, at exactly 7 am (UTC). According to the announcement, the airdrop proper is expected to take place within 7 days from the snapshot. Meaning that Travala airdrop 3 will take place on or before Friday, February 25, 2022.

During the airdrop, 10 million TRVL tokens will be airdropped to AVA smart members. To participate, interested persons have to lock up at least 50 AVA tokens. It is also important to note that the airdrop will take place on Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

2. Klever Blockchain is Around The Corner

Crypto trading platform Klever has released details of its upcoming blockchain. Alongside the series of events expected to lead up to the launch of its blockchain.

This week, Klever blockchain validator testnet phase is expected to begin. Validators are expected to test the chain as well as build on it. The validator testnet phase will take place in four stages. The first phase will commence this week on February 21, 2022, at exactly 2:00 pm (UTC).

3. Platypus to Launch USDT Liquidity Pool

Avalanche-based AMM DEX platform Platypus has announced details of the upcoming launch of its USDT liquidity pool. The pool is set to go live on February 22, 2022, at 9:00 am (UTC).
While the total monthly reward for liquidity pools still stands at 3 million PTP, there are, however, new changes to pool reward allocations.

  • USDT.e and USDC.e will both attract a reward allocation of 25%.
  • USDC will have a reward allocation of 20%,
  • Lastly both DAI.e and USDT will both have a new reward allocation of 15%.

Interestingly, this is also the first time Platypus pool count will be more than 4 pools.

4. Toyo IGO on Seedify

Another exciting IGO is expected to take place this week on Seedify. Last week, Plutonians IGO took place on Seedify and got sold out in just 58 seconds.

This week on Seedify, TOYO IGO is expected to go live. TOYO is a nostalgic action figure metaverse. It is also a Play-to-Earn (P2E) game, providing gamers with the opportunity to choose between PvP and PvE game modes.

Its private sale and IGO on the Seedify launchpad will take place on February 21 and 22, 2022 respectively.

5. BitTorrent BTFS 2.0 Mainnet Launch

Scalable, P2P media sharing protocol BitTorrent has announced details of its upcoming mainnet 2.0 launch. In line with this, the protocol will also carry out a 3-week airdrop event between February 15 and March 7. The event will involve the distribution of rewards to both BTFS 1.0 and 2.0 nodes.

Interestingly, the mainnet 2.0 launch will take place on February 22, 2022.
