Play to earn and move to earn games are slowly moving out of fashion. But, I’ve found a new trend that allows me to earn while watching Youtube. It’s called watch to earn and I’m going to tell you about the platform that helps me do that.
In this article, I’m going to show you how you could make up over $100 a day, from watching Youtube.
When I’m not filming these days, I’ve found something super fun to do. There’s an NFT game I’ve been playing the past couple of days. It allows you to actually earn while watching Youtube. Now, that’s crazy!
Each crypto market cycle comes with a trend that goes viral. In the last cycle we had trends like “#Move2Earn” and “#Play2Earn” Today, I’m going to introduce you to a platform I think is going to be the next big thing.
What is XCAD?
Imagine watching YouTube, and getting paid for each video you watch! That’s what XCAD lets you do. XCAD is a social token and app pionering the “Watch2Earn” movement.

Let’s talk about how it works. How does it work? You need to mint one of the NFT’s on their platform to watch and earn. The NFT’s they have are called “nerds”. Each has its own trait and what you can do with them. You only need to watch 80% of the Youtube video to start earning.
XCAD has really huge potential. Let me put some figures to this. Think about this: there are 2.6 billion active Youtube users. So, imagine the huge market XCAD is penetrating.
How to Get Started with XCAD
XCAD is pretty basic and easy to use. I’ve been using it for some days. So here’s how it works.
- Step 1: You install a browser extension. Then you need that access code I was talking about. But don’t worry, we have you covered in the description below. You will need a code to get to the play area.
- Step 2: Once you’ve set up your account and use your code, you’ll need to start with step 1 which is to pick a box. The box contains a PLAY Nerd. A Nerd is an NFT. You can repair this NFT, and upgrade it to optimize its effectiveness. Watch this video for more info.
The more upgraded your nerd, the more you will earn while watching your favorite YouTubers. You can mint varying levels of NFT from a box.
- There’s a basic mint which is roughly $150.
- There is a common nerd which is roughly $450.
- The third is a mystery which will be between a rare and common nerd costing around $1250.
- There is a rare Nerd which is roughly $2,250.

These different mints will give varying attributes which will affect earning power. So, the NFTs also have different specialties. Music NFTs will give you more earning power if you watch music videos. In total, we have:
- Gaming.
- Sports.
- Lifestyle.
- Challenge & Comedy.
- Tech.
- Educational.
- Music specialties.
So I’ve got some Play tokens. And to mint Nerd I need Play Tokens and XCAD. Each Nerd has its features and cost. So I’m swapping some Play tokens for XCAD tokens so I can mint the Nerd I want. So, now I have enough XCAD tokens to mint the Rare Nerd. See this video for me info.
Practical View
So, I’ve got a rare Nerd with a music specialty and I’m at level 29. Once you mint your NFT, don ‘t forget to activate.
So head down to Play. Scroll down and you’ll see different channels to watch and earn. However, make sure to watch along your specialty. Mine is music. So, I’m going to select that. Here is a video for more info. As you can see my watch is being recorded. We are checking out Beyonce.

And just like that, we’ve earned rewards, which you claim in the rewards section. I earned 258 PLAY or almost $20 in just a few minutes of watching. Two watches in fact.
