Unity games are coming to blockchain

BlockBastards, a blockchain development company based in Portugal, will soon launch Qudo. Qudo is a proof-of-gameplay reward mechanism that adds token-based features to any game built on the Unity gaming engine.

BlockBastards was founded in early 2018 and is a blockchain-focused software development company. They have now announced the release of Qudo which will revolutionize blockchain gaming.

About Qudo

Qudo will run on the Telos blockchain and is fully compatible with Unity. The Telos Foundation will join forces with BlockBastards to provide marketing and technical support.

About 3.3 billion devices have run Unity Games in the past year with a majority of them being on mobile. Qudo will be able to provide countless game developers a way to further enhance player engagement and game promotion.

Qudo is on track to launch by the end of the second quarter.

João Abrantes, Managing Director of BlockBastards says, “We see many so-called ‘blockchain games’ entering the market where the gameplay is created mainly with cryptocurrency speculation in mind, and pure joy comes after. With Qudo, we want to bring games built with pure gameplay experiences in mind first, as well as the power to reward players with cryptocurrency, while standing out from the competition, without the need for the developer to have any prior blockchain knowledge whatsoever. We’ve already seen on traditional gaming platforms that releases with in-game credit systems tend to make the most money. Now it will be even more powerful to offer those types of features on-chain with Qudo.”

Founding partners

There are invitations calling for applications from game developers and contributors to become founding partners in Qudo. Furthermore, any can email ([email protected]) to receive more information. Founding partners do not need to have any prior blockchain experience.

Moreover, those selected for this exclusive program will earn unique rewards. These rewards will bring a passive income as part of the block rewards that happen at regular intervals on the chain.

Suvi Rinkinen, CEO of the Telos Foundation says, “We’re so glad to have Qudo coming to Telos, expanding its strength as a gaming platform. There are so many benefits to the system they’re building, including its potential as a whole new way for developers to earn money for the games they create.”
