The SIDUS Hero NFT game is partnering with Ethereum layer 2 aggregator Polygon just days before its highly anticipated Initial DEX Offering.
SIDUS made the announcement on December 9 just a few days before its IDO on December 15. The NFT gaming platform is aiming to scale its galaxy metaverse using Polygon’s layer 2 technology.
“Polygon’s perspective on gaming will offer the project highly useful insights into how to make the SIDUS metaverse scalable!”
SIDUS is a play-to-earn metaverse game with a galaxy full of Heroes that you own in the form of NFTs. Polygon is an Ethereum layer 2 scaling aggregator that uses rollup technology to make transactions faster and cheaper.

NFTs on Ethereum layer 1 can be expensive with the current high costs of gas. However, Polygon will solve this for SIDUS by running the operations on layer 2. This will make NFT mining much cheaper and quicker than on layer 1.
SIDUS IDO Approaching
Furthermore, the game is about to hold its highly anticipated initial DEX offering on December 15. The platform has 2 native tokens, SENATE and SIDUS, one for governance and the second for in-game usage.
The tokens will be available on 7 platforms: BLOKPAD, Ignition, TrustPad, SpaceSwap, Red Kite, GameFI, and Seedify.
SIDUS will supply tokens in an equal ratio (50:50) on all platforms with a set IDO price of $0.18 for the SENATE token and $0.0018 for SIDUS.
The game itself is currently available as an in-browser demo version, however, the full version is expected to be launched in Q1, 2022.
The universe is inhabited by 12 tech-based races. These represent different blockchains and are already familiar such as Bitcoione, Etheredus, Avalanya, Polkacyon, Polygopus, Tronguan, and others.
There will be a marketplace where players can trade in-game items and NFTs. Players can also farm resources and build up their own presence in the metaverse.
NFT Heroes on OpenSea
The SIDUS NFT Hero collection is available to purchase on the OpenSea marketplace. There are 5,200 items and they are currently selling for around 1 ETH on average over the past 24 hours. The full collection features 4,000 Original NFT Heroes, 1,000 Rare Heroes, 500 Legendary Heroes, and 500 Partnership NFT Heroes.
Additionally, Altcoin Buzz has created a deep dive video on SIDUS which it reports as having a very low investment entry requirement making it one to watch.
