Google Cloud Announced a Strategic Partnership With Zilliqa Group.

Zilliqa just announced a multi-year strategic relationship with Google Cloud today at TOKEN2049. The collaboration will improve the Zilliqa layer 1 blockchain protocol’s scalability, resilience, and data availability.

With Google Cloud’s engagement, ventures within the Zilliqa Group and throughout the ecosystem will benefit from a more robust platform underlying the spectrum of Web3 services and decentralized applications (dApps) built on the Zilliqa blockchain.

What Benefits Does This Alliance Bring to Users?

Google Cloud will join the existing roster of 28 staked seed node (SSN) operators on the Zilliqa network. As an SSN operator, Google Cloud will provide node infrastructure hosting services while also assisting in the validation of network transactions, allowing more users to participate in the network’s decentralization, security, and governance.

Zilliqa Group has also picked Google Cloud as its strategic cloud provider and will leverage Google Cloud’s open, secure, scalable, and energy-efficient infrastructure and services to improve the flexibility, resilience, and data availability of its blockchain.

Matt Dyer, Chief Executive Officer of Zilliqa Group, said: “Our strategic alliance with Google Cloud is more than just a technological collaboration; it’s a strategic alignment to further the ambitions of our group of ventures and revenue-generating organizations. Google Cloud’s expertise in infrastructure, combined with its role as a staked seed node partner, underscores our commitment to excellence, both within the Zilliqa Group of companies and across the wider ecosystem. Together, we’re setting the stage for a new wave of innovation and growth in the Web3 space.”

Strengthening the Zilliqa Blockchain’s Scalability and Resiliency

Zilliqa, which was founded in 2017, has been at the vanguard of blockchain innovation. It was the first public blockchain to deploy Scilla, a peer-reviewed programming language created with smart contract safety in order to address blockchain scaling limitations. This makes it an excellent foundation for Web3 initiatives that demand faster transaction rates and throughput. Also, lower gas fees, and built-in smart contract security to encourage mainstream acceptance and maintain user trust.

To achieve this, Zilliqa uses Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to suit its platform’s dynamic demands. Zilliqa can keep its nodes running 24/7 thanks to GKE’s best-in-class load balancing. Also, autoscaling, rollback, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) capabilities. This gives developers unprecedented ability to scale Web3 projects in gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), among others.

Zilliqa is also utilizing Security Command Center, a Google Cloud native security and risk management tool, to detect and address potential vulnerabilities and threats in the environment that hosts its nodes and apps.

Transparency Is Being Increased by Making On-Chain Data More Accessible and Usable.

Zilliqa will make its blockchain datasets easily accessible for public inspection and analysis using BigQuery. BigQuery is Google Cloud’s serverless data warehouse, in order to remove technical barriers to blockchain analytics and further increase data transparency. This will make it simple for anybody to access and analyze transaction data from the Zilliqa mainnet in order to track changes in gas prices. Also, find the most active or well-liked tokens and dApps within the Zilliqa ecosystem, audit sets of transactions for legal compliance, and more.

Also, the Zilliqa ecosystem’s businesses and Web3 developers would be able to take advantage of BigQuery’s data-driven insights. The goal is to improve the analysis of the behavior of consumers and create features that offer greater utility.

Providing Services to a Dispersed Workforce and Expanding Portfolio of Subsidiaries

Zilliqa Group has embraced Google Workspace to allow its staff members from 15 different countries. The goal is to connect, develop, and communicate with ease. Google Workspace unifies popular applications like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides into an integrated workspace.

It also includes built-in enterprise-grade data protection, device management, and access management. The goal is to create a secure remote working environment from any location and on any device.

James Tromans, Head of Web3 of Google Cloud, said: “Google Cloud is focused on providing the foundational technology on which developers can build innovative blockchain-based products and services that will help grow the Web3 ecosystem. With this in mind, our engineering work with Zilliqa Group will be centered around improving the scalability and resilience of the base layer to better support novel scaling solutions like sharding, as well as enhancing the availability of blockchain datasets for public inspection and analysis. With the Asia Pacific region emerging as a hotbed for Web3 innovation, we look forward to collaborating with more companies like Zilliqa Group with roots in this region.”
