ODIN Protocol Testnet v0.1 to Launch Soon

Having secure access to reliable, accurate, and top-notch data is one of the major issues of the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

Open Data Interoperable Network (ODIN Protocol) looks to provide a lasting solution to this issue with its focus on structuring the big data space. The decentralized oracle network operates a peer-to-peer (P2P) data-sharing oracle network which, in turn, facilitates interaction between participants in the blockchain and crypto space.

Details of ODIN Testnet v1.0

In line with its vision to restructure the big data space, ODIN Protocol has disclosed plans for its ODIN testnet v1.0 launch. The testnet, according to an official tweet, is scheduled to go live on June 6, 2021.

To participate in the testnet, users are expected to run ODIN nodes. All those who run ODIN nodes will furthermore receive ODIN tokens as rewards. It is, however, important to note that participants need to first have ODIN tokens to be able to run nodes during the testnet launch.

The first thing to note is that the staking program will commence close to the testnet v1.0 launch taking place on June 6, 2021. This will provide ODIN token holders with ample time to lock their tokens in a unique interest yield contract and therefore earn more rewards.

What to Expect From ODIN Testnet v1.0?

A number of exciting possibilities will be brought to life by the testnet v1.0 launch on ODIN Protocol. Now, ODIN users will be able to:

• Create a wallet
• Facilitate ETH/ERC-20 exchange to ODIN
• Exchange GEO to ODIN tokens
• Edit data sources
• Create data sources
• Withdraw validators rewards
• Query data sources, etc.

ODIN Protocol Roadmap

As previously stated, the testnet v1.0 will go live in Q2 2021 (June 6, 2021).
This will be followed by the onboarding of beta users on the ODIN Testnet v1.0 in Q3 2021.

ODIN mainnet v1.0 will finally be launched in Q4 2021. The mainnet launch will include a fully operational system incorporated with all the necessary user flows.
