There are some interesting developments in the Cardano ecosystem recently. Accordingly, Altcoin Buzz looks at the latest updates from the third week of December to keep readers informed.
Cardano is partnering with Eco-Age. In addition, digital payment system Flexa now supports $ADA. Let’s look at these Cardano updates in detail.
1 – Cardano Will Be Working With Eco-Age
The Cardano Foundation is partnering with Eco-Age, the agency in charge of the Renaissance Awards. Moreover, these awards are meant to reward young activists propelling “social and environmental” reforms.
Notably, Eco-Age is replacing the usual physical awards with non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and will be leveraging Cardano for this initiative. Besides, the awards took place in October, and the Cardano blockchain was utilized in designing 13 different digital artworks. These digital artworks celebrated the works of some notable artists during the Renaissance era.
Also, there are some lasting benefits for the winners of these awards. If the winner sells the award, they’ll get 100% returns, alongside 50% royalties on future sales of the NFT.
The awards recognize efforts spanning across:
- Technologically balanced
- Being socially just
- Economically inclusive
- Environmentally restorative

2 – Flexa Now Supports Cardano ($ADA)
Digital payments platform Flexa is adding Cardano’s native token ($ADA) to its list of cryptocurrencies available on the platform.
This move is part of the “25 Days of Flexa” campaign that also adds cryptocurrencies like Filecoin and Solana.
Besides, this adoption means the $ADA token can be spent in more than 40,000 locations in the United States.
Following an earlier collaboration between Flexa and Regal (a U.S. theater company), $ADA holders will be able to utilize the token as a means of payment at the theaters.
