TomoChain Enters a Massive National Partnership in Vietnam

In an impressive update, TomoChain announced that it is officially partnering with Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). According to the official press release shared with Altcoin Buzz, both the entities will work together to architect and develop a National Qualifications Archive (NQA) system. This is a major development because NQA built on TomoChain will be utilized to secure all the diplomas and certificates issued by MOET. Interestingly, MOET oversees the entire Vietnamese Education system that issues over 1.5 million certificates and diplomas every year. Unlike most of the national blockchain projects, this is not a pilot but a full-scale roll-out.

It seems things are already in place for TomoChain. This is because according to the official announcement, the NQA system will be implemented nationwide for the 2020-2021 school year. The system will store and access all the education records that come under the wings of MOET. To begin with, the high schools, universities, and Foreign Language Institutes in Vietnam will implement NQA.

What is MOET trying to achieve?

With the utilization of NQA, MOET plans to add transparency, efficiency, and prevent academic frauds. Currently, the Vietnamese training institutions are managing and granting the educational certificates on their own. Due to this diploma mills that provide forged diplomas and certificates are mushrooming across Vietnam. As a result, the recruitment agencies and HR teams have to conduct lengthy verification processes.

By adopting the NQA system, MOET plans to establish a much-required standardized process at the national level. Thus, the agencies will be able to verify diplomas in a simple, accurate, and economical way.

Why TomoChain?

Vietnamese Government is a big supporter of blockchain technology. Out of so many blockchain platforms, it chose TomoChain to power NQA. This is because TomoChain’s public blockchain has proved time and again that it is capable of handling high throughput.
According to statistics, TomoChain can support almost instantaneous transactions at a speed of 2000 TPS. Over 100,000 transactions cost just under $0.01 USD on TomoChain.

Long Vuong expressed that the team is honored to cooperate with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). Additionally, he believes this partnership may lead to further collaboration in the future as the Vietnamese government is pro-blockchain. Recently TomoChain expanded its Division for Blockchain Solutions for Government and Enterprises by acquiring Lition.
