uae blockchain system

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has just announced the integration of blockchain into its healthcare system. And that’s not the only case.

Dubai seems to love blockchain. The country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention launched its DLT system on the 18th of September 2019. Its primary goal is to save assessment information from both private and public health professionals. The implementation of this system will bring many benefits to the UAE, including time-saving, cost-efficiency, etc.

Mubaraka Ibrahim, Director of Information Technology at the Ministry, said, “The blockchain technology offers a variety of benefits and advantages, including a decentralised database in which the stored data becomes unchangeable.”

We should expect the initiative to be supported by 2021. The government’s transactions via blockchain will increase approximately by 50%. Looks like we’re currently facing a global DLT adoption in its infancy.

Blockchain all around

This is not the first time Dubai turns to the technology dubbed disruptive. In 2018, Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the use of blockchain into its system. The implementation of this technology in the transport infrastructure is expected in 2020.

The upcoming platform will help to keep track of vehicles’ history from the factory all the way to the scrap yard.

The UAE is looking to move everything on blockchain platforms. I think the goal here is to become the most technologically-advanced country.

Many countries view blockchain as a promising technology. Thus, they keep adopting it. Most recently, Altcoin Buzz presented an overview of Tael’s ecosystem that aims to combat counterfeit goods.
