In a recent announcement, the beauty brand revealed details of its recent foray into the Metaverse. According to the announcement, Victoria’s Secret recently filed four blockchain-based trademark filings. This is in a bid to register its interest in both the NFT space and the Metaverse. Interestingly, the Metaverse can also accurately be described as “Virtual Reality.” Also, the blockchain trademark filings took place on February 8, 2022. It also indicates that the beauty brand is looking to offer blockchain-based digital collectibles and media. To sum up, the company will make available for use in the Metaverse these digital collectibles, media, and online clothing.
The announcement was furthermore confirmed via Twitter by Michael Kondoudis, a trademark attorney. In his tweet, he confirmed that Victoria’s Secret was coming to the Metaverse and that it would launch digital collectibles and online clothing for use in “virtual environments.”

In simple terms, this means that the popular lingerie and beauty brand plans to sell virtual products. Interestingly, Victoria’s Secret will sell these products online and in virtual environments.
